Community Rules

Welcome to Otaku-Streamers, a community-driven platform where anime enthusiasts gather to watch, discuss, and enjoy content together. To keep the experience respectful and high-quality for everyone, please follow the guidelines below. Failure to adhere may result in temporary or permanent bans depending on the gravity of the violation.

General Conduct

Professionalism & Respect: Maintain a respectful demeanor; personal attacks, harassment, hate speech, and discrimination are strictly prohibited.
Language Standards: Use English in all public areas to ensure clear communication and effective moderation across the community.
Prohibited Content: Spamming, doxing, external advertising, self-promotion, and the mention of competing platforms are not allowed.
Content Restrictions: Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content is strictly prohibited in all areas of the platform.
Account Integrity: Users are limited to one account; multi-accounting to evade bans or manipulate activity will result in permanent removal.

Shoutbox Guidelines

Communication Standards: Messages must be between 2 and 300 characters; flooding is prohibited, and a 20-second cooldown is enforced.
Request Protocol: Begging for episodes, external links, dubbed titles, or direct downloads is strictly prohibited.
Atmosphere Maintenance: Refrain from drama, excessive profanity, and public call-outs to help maintain a welcoming environment.
Privacy Protection: For your safety, do not post personal identifiers such as email addresses, phone numbers, or private contact information.
Moderator Authority: Staff may remove messages or issue shoutbox bans without prior warning for serious or repetitive violations.

Discussion Forums

Research First: Utilize the search function before posting; duplicate threads may be merged or locked to maintain organization.
Clarity in Titling: Use descriptive titles for all threads; vague titles such as "Help" or "Question" are considered insufficient.
Sensitive Topics: Discussions regarding politics, theology, or other polarizing subjects likely to incite heated conflict are prohibited.
Spoiler Compliance: All spoilers must be properly enclosed in spoiler tags; untagged spoilers are subject to immediate removal.
Subject Relevance: Ensure posts remain focused on anime-related topics; off-topic content may be moved or deleted by staff.

Reviews & Ratings

Authenticity: Reviews must reflect your original, honest opinion based on personal viewing; plagiarized or AI content is prohibited. Avoid rating a series poorly just because the genre isn't your cup of tea; try to judge it fairly for what it is.
Rating Integrity: Score-bombing, coordinated review-bombing, or submitting extreme ratings solely to manipulate or artificially inflate/deflate a title's average is strictly forbidden.
Spoilers & Formatting: Spoilers are not allowed in reviews. If a spoiler is absolutely necessary to your critique, you must use the spoiler command to hide it.
Critique Standards: Constructive criticism is encouraged, but personal attacks against creators or other reviewers are not permitted.
Accountability: Moderators reserve the right to delete non-compliant reviews, issue sanctions, and ban accounts for purposely posting spoilers, abusing the spoiler tag, or engaging in abusive rating behavior.

Uploads & Content Management

Authorized Submissions: Only designated uploaders and staff members may submit content; contact any member of staff to inquire about contributing.
Request Procedures: Anime requests should be directed to the official Discord request channel or the designated "Anime Not Found" thread.
Format Focus: This platform is dedicated exclusively to subbed releases; requests for dubbed anime will not be honored.
Accurate Reporting: Use the report system only for technical failures like missing video or audio sync; do not report for slow loading/buffering.
Contributor Respect: Please refrain from complaining about upload schedules; our contributors provide content on a voluntary, community-run basis.

Feeds & Profile Comments

Social Etiquette: Maintain a professional and appropriate tone within all profile comments and community feeds.
Interpersonal Conduct: Feeds and comments may not be used to target, harass, or publicly shame other community members.
Engagement Quality: Spam, chain posts, excessive tagging, and attention-seeking behaviors are prohibited to maintain feed quality.
Safety & Compliance: Posting personal data, external links, or inappropriate imagery on profiles is strictly forbidden.
Access Restrictions: Repeated violations of feed guidelines may result in the permanent restriction of your social features.

Downloads & Mobile App

App Exclusive: Download functionality is exclusive to the mobile app only. Offline downloading is not supported on the desktop website.
Tier-Based Access: Download privileges, slots, and monthly tokens are determined by account status, community activity, and donation tiers.
Activity Rewards: Discord verification unlocks 3 slots/15 monthly downloads. Level 5 unlocks 5 slots/20 monthly downloads, adding +5 slots every 5 levels thereafter.
Donator Perks: Donators receive higher slots and tokens. Limits revert to standard tiers if no donation is made for 4 consecutive months, but titles are permanent.
Reset & Limits: All allocations and tokens refresh on a monthly basis, while regular registered users are limited to streaming only.

Bans & Appeals

Disciplinary Tiers: Penalties range from temporary suspensions (24 hours to 7 days) to permanent bans, depending on severity.
Official Channels: Appeals must be submitted directly to the Support Administrator or Site Administrator for review.
Privacy of Appeals: Publicly debating or appealing bans via the shoutbox, forums, or Discord is not permitted.
Evasion Policy: Any attempt to bypass a suspension through the creation of alternate accounts will result in a permanent site-wide ban.
Reinstatement Terms: Appeals do not guarantee a reversal; disrespectful or abusive behavior toward staff during the process voids the appeal.

Administrative Discretion

Final Authority: All staff decisions are final in matters regarding community safety and the interpretation of site rules.
Adaptability: Staff may take action against behaviors that harm the community's health, even if not explicitly detailed in this document.
Policy Updates: Otaku-Streamers reserves the right to update these guidelines at any time to reflect the needs of the community.
Conflict Resolution: Members are encouraged to report issues through official channels rather than engaging in public disputes.
Community Health: Our primary goal is the longevity of the platform; actions that jeopardize the site's mission will be addressed promptly.

Respect Others & Keep the Peace

Treat all members with kindness and respect.
Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, and bullying of any kind are strictly prohibited.

No NSFW Content

This server is safe for all ages. Do not post or discuss explicit, adult, or Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content anywhere in the server.

Spam, Links & Competing Sites

No spamming, doxing, external advertising, or self-promotion (unless in specifically designated channels).
Mentioning competing platforms is strictly prohibited.
Members' Lounge Specific: Absolutely no Outside Links are allowed in the Members' Lounge.

Stay On Topic & Tag Spoilers

Keep discussions in their respective channels. Move off-topic conversations to the appropriate channel or into private messages.
Keep posts focused on anime. Politics, theology, and other highly polarizing subjects are prohibited.
Use spoiler tags or designated spoiler channels for plot details. Untagged spoilers are subject to immediate removal.
Members' Lounge Specific: Absolutely no Spoilers are allowed in the Members' Lounge.

Privacy Protection

Do not post personal identifiers such as email addresses, phone numbers, or private contact information.
Respect privacy: Do not share private conversations or screenshots from this server without the consent of all parties involved.
