Anime in HD

Hi Guys,

It's me.

So for a while now I've been considering to do a little side project: replacing old anime to HD Quality. A little history of why we have such quality: back then (started 2008) anime was uploaded in 512x384p or (512x288p for aspect ratio 16:9) at 300 video bitrate and 48 audio bitrate to stream fast since bandwidth was bad and site sources are limited as we are funded by donations.

This thread is for your input of your favorite anime you'd like re-uploaded in HD. Maybe you'd like to rewatch. Jim (Jbluey) has approved.

Since it's just me and consider it as a rolling out step for us to be a bit more competitive to other anime sites. I'd like to limit 1 anime request per person, and after it's added you may request again.

Criteria:
The quality needs to be bad.
Include the OS link.

It goes without saying all new anime are added in HD. ^^

hmm... could we fix the 2008-2009 video problem first? the one which every video uploaded then got their last 30 seconds bugged out?

maybe for normal anime it was fine but short stuffs like weiss survive got totally rekt

I see what you mean, the lines on animation as it moves. I experienced this before, I think it's caused by encoding. Overall anime from 80s are low quality lol. Will re-upload in a few (quality will still be low, but lines will be fixed).

I thought this issue was fixed. Have you tried switching players in your settings? Weiss Survive episode 1 and 16 are working okay on my end.

Sounds great! I wanted to request Detective Conan, but that's going to be a pain due to some of them being too old and probably having no sources to get them from. So I'd like to see the Bakemonogatari series including the sequels re-uploaded if possible.

Once it's replaced it's gone. The quality is not unlike the quality of current videos (2023), so once you can stream those you'll be able to stream them without issue, so no faster net needed. I haven't done an announcement in eons, turns out I didn't do it right...

I've checked the sources out there vs ours, it's an old anime. I think the return on investment will be too minute to pursue this (95episodes).
