Default Old anime uploads and flash player

    Hello!

I never posted anything here in my years on the site, only used it to watch animes, but I was advised to share this thing I found.

I've been on a fresh laptop for a while now and I had no problems watching new animes for weeks and months, but when I wanted to rewatch old ones I noticed they didn't work.

I figured out the problem was that I didn't have flash player. It was weird that it was only a problem with old uploaded animes but not with any that were uploaded in recent years.

Is this a known issue? Is there anything planned for the older animes when flash player gets shut off in a few months?

If you go into your settings, on the very bottom left under "OS Options" there should be an option "OS Player Using ::" if it says Old after this then you're using the old player that does use flash. If you click on it and change it to say "New" it should switch you to using the new player that I believe does not use flash.

I recently re-watched a few episodes of an anime from 2002 and didn't have any problems, so hopefully changing the player will fix the problem for you :)

Yes I'm aware of the new player, it's what I've been using for the past years since I got my new laptop I didn't have flash installed. I only noticed I didn't have it when I went to old uploads and they didn't play unless I got flash.

Those uploads don't play on the new player, they just endlessly buffer and never start. The 2 I tried is Samurai Champloo and Death Note but I'm sure others would have similar issues.

Those animes were uploaded by the same person in 2009, so it might be a format issue that only flash can play or something.

By the way, what happened to the video player design? It used to be that the stuff like the play button, the buffer bar, and all that were still on the bottom of the video without getting in its way, but this new player has the big play button at the corner, and when you watch a video and want to do something, like adjust the volume or pause, the video bar covers the bottom of the video, often obscuring the subtitles. Will there be some way to get the old video player design back?

Heyaaaa!! The design of the old video player is integrated with the old player itself which was connected to the flash player. Hence, Jim removed it. Other than the design, may I ask if you have encountered any issues in streaming any anime? If so, kindly note them on the link below so we could compile and have then replaced. Thank you! :')
