Which is better?

some say that google chrome is faster but some also says that firefox

> Chrome is faster by orders of magnitude in starting up as compared to Firefox.
> Chrome is more memory hungry as compared to FireFox.
> Firefox takes much longer to release memory resources.
> Chrome has more real estate as compared to Firefox.
> Zooming is better in Firefox
> Offline Page Caching is better in Firefox
> Address Bar Readability is better in Chrome
> Resizable Text Area in Chrome

04-25-2010, 05:04 AM
well i did stick to chrome because firefox always crashes on me and in firefox i can bookmark easier ._. but chrome is good too

04-25-2010, 05:46 AM
so far google chrome is safer to use
Theres another forum where I posted something about it

There was a complication of web browsers and Google Chrome was the only one that hackers were not able to break for two years straight

04-25-2010, 06:24 AM
Well I'm stick to google chrome cause my firefox is "invisible"..:emhh02:(dunno what happen to it)
but what I can say is...chrome is better than firefox. I mean by the crashes issues.

04-25-2010, 06:25 AM
thank you :)

04-25-2010, 06:28 AM
i prefer google chrome ...

04-25-2010, 06:42 AM
I uses both firefox and google chrome...

04-25-2010, 07:13 AM
For me its firefox

Because I'm more use to it and there are some tweaks that can speed it up the reaction LOL

04-25-2010, 07:14 AM
me too.. I use both that's why sometimes I get confused,, :))

04-25-2010, 07:19 AM
me too.. I use both that's why sometimes I get confused,, :))

hey just use only one, don't use it both at the same time it will slowdown...
I use it both, but not in only one pc. I use 2 PC at the same time

04-25-2010, 08:58 AM
I haven't tried chrome yet. I'll try using it. For firefox, stream's fast and it's user friendly in my opinion

04-25-2010, 09:05 AM
the google chrome doesnt have the feature to View Background Image ^^

oh btw i use firefox to rip videos not only youtube but all the video hosting site ^^

05-21-2010, 10:36 PM
Firefox is definitely better... I'm never ever going to side with google again!

05-22-2010, 03:17 AM
FireFox could be faster than Chrome but you have to change the settings to do so. Personally I like Chrome over FireFox, it has the K-On! theme ^_^ and it's nicer looking overall.

05-22-2010, 03:37 AM
i haven't used google chrome, but im enjoying firefox.. :)

05-22-2010, 03:45 AM
I prefer google chrome because its faster and firefox sometimes lag :D

05-22-2010, 04:17 AM
for me its chrome becoz its faster than firefox but sometimes I`m using firefox

05-22-2010, 04:51 AM
For me, I go for Google Chrome, its so fast and kinda reliable... I'm just an ordinary net surfer so I don't need complex or sophisticated internet gadgets/tools while surfing.

06-16-2010, 07:28 PM
I use chrome to watch vids on youtube...but the rest goes to firefox...
firefox cuz
1. dl accelerator addon (Down Them All) is waaay fast
2. I can have multiple bookmark toolbars plus it helps reason number 3
3. Personas for firefox rocks!

06-16-2010, 08:13 PM
Chrome is much better...firefox is so lag

06-16-2010, 10:42 PM
i use chrome... and i much prefer chrome :3

Max Magnus
06-16-2010, 10:47 PM
I haven't tried Chrome much, I'll stick to what I know, which is Firefox.

Custom addons and open source programming FTW, lol.

06-16-2010, 11:11 PM
As for chrome being faster than firefox idk, they both open in less than a second after i click them and most my pages load relatively instantly and streaming is fast on either.

But i use firefox just because its what I'm use to using

06-16-2010, 11:53 PM
so far google chrome is safer to use
Theres another forum where I posted something about it

There was a complication of web browsers and Google Chrome was the only one that hackers were not able to break for two years straight

didn't know about that, good thing i read this thread hehe..well id choose chrome streaming is fast and more advantages

07-01-2010, 04:43 PM
pshh I still love using FIREFOXXX :D

07-01-2010, 05:10 PM
I love google chrome its waaaay better than Firefox...
With no add-ons I the screen is much bigger than that of Firefox...XD

07-01-2010, 07:13 PM
i went from firefox to chrome. i think chrome loads pages and streams a bit faster than firefox and doesnt lag as much.

07-03-2010, 12:34 PM
Im using both.. and i think chrome is faster, but some features that i like arent there, firefox, although crashes has more feautures, so Im choosing both..

07-04-2010, 12:14 PM
i love both of them, both have good bookmarking features...but i'm currently using Chrome since it starts-up pretty quick compared to Firefox....and i also like the thumbnail view of frequently visited sites in Chrome....^^

07-13-2010, 08:51 AM
i use firefox most of the time

07-13-2010, 10:34 AM
ill say firefox o.o easier to use for me maybe cuz im more used to it o.o

07-14-2010, 05:48 AM
i use Firefox all the time, but i have Google Chrome.
which one is better? :swt:

07-14-2010, 09:47 AM
i dont use firefox it is so crappy it just likes to close and crash without warning. so chrome FTW!

07-14-2010, 10:20 AM
I learned about this recently in one of my classes, it seems Google Chrome is a "fully" multi-threaded application while firefox is a "semi" multi-threaded application. A multi-threaded application can perform multiple tasks (i.e. sending & receiving packets and displaying) at the same time. In chrome every tab is separate, so if that tab crashes or hangs, the other tabs should work fine. In firefox the programming is not as smooth so the problem of one tab is affects the others. Chrome is relatively new compared to firefox so its a little harder to configure, but if your looking for functionality I would suggest Google Chrome. XD

07-14-2010, 10:31 AM
google chrome
-easy to use
-not really crashes always
-and where can i delete past history? O_O

07-16-2010, 11:28 AM
google chrome is way faster still

07-20-2010, 07:16 AM
Oh man!!!! I never realized that Google chrome had a few troublesome aspects when it comes to posting and streaming...
I went with Chrome the first time I posted here but NOW I think that Chrome and Firefox are about tied in my books.

~ But I STILL and ALWAYS love using Chrome ...^.^

07-26-2010, 10:03 AM
i use firefox and i'm ok with the way thing are . i installed google chrome but i uninstalled it right away . i guess i just didn't like it. i think because i'm used to firefox ( i use it since .... a long time ago , maybe 5 years ) .

07-26-2010, 10:12 AM
I'll go with firefox, because you can change themes, and it can read Kanji characters :)... Chrome isn't bad though, it just looks WAAAYY too plain for me, and Kanji characters appear as boxes in chrome.

07-26-2010, 12:22 PM
I like both. I prefer Firefox for streaming and for plugins and themes. Chrome is better for browsing in general since pages load faster. Neither are very quick with flash so Internet Explorer still wins if you are wanting to play a flash game or something (Like you RuneScape fans out there), though Internet Explorer just sucks overall, imo. I have been using Firefox for many years and I have been using Chrome for about a year now. Overall I still prefer Firefox. ^^

07-26-2010, 12:55 PM
Chrome is being difficult for me, it won't load any pages, so i'd have to say Firefox is better, plus i just like foxes a lot.

07-26-2010, 05:50 PM
i use chrome.

firefox looks messy IMO

07-26-2010, 07:32 PM
i have both but i'll say +1 to chromy~

07-26-2010, 10:00 PM
i like and use firefox but i know that google chrome is good too

07-26-2010, 10:14 PM
the google chrome doesnt have the feature to View Background Image ^^

and that's why I prefer firefox xD

now seriously, they are both good. i've tried both and despite firefox is the one I use at most of the times, sometimes I use chrome too. it's up to you ;)

07-27-2010, 09:19 AM
I use firefox bec. google chrome in my pc crashes every hour i was like wtf!
so i dont use it wen i stream online or anything at all ><

07-28-2010, 12:10 PM
Google Chrome is far superior at least from my point of view, i dont care about memory consumption as long as it runs smoothly. and it even comes with built in flash plugin and alot other things that u have to install afterwards if u want em in firefox(like inspect element, the firebug addon in firefox).

07-28-2010, 12:17 PM
better? no comment!

firefox, because of the of the add-on

07-28-2010, 02:29 PM
I like chrome better cause its easy to use and simple looking too.
plus firefox lags on my pc -.-

08-11-2010, 08:15 PM
in my opinion firefox is better probably because i used it mor

08-12-2010, 02:18 AM
Firefox with a black and green chrome skin? :D

08-12-2010, 02:59 AM
Chrome is better :)

08-12-2010, 03:42 AM
for me chrome is better than firefox . faster streaming not much lag...

but the best is still OPERA ^_^

08-16-2010, 08:41 AM
Firefox eats too much memory which makes Chrome more faster in terms of start up and usage.

Chrome consumes too much Hard Disk Space since it saves up nearly everything on your PC, while firefox doesn't.

Firefox has more add-ons than Chrome.

Chrome does not support several other websites while Firefox does.

Firefox has an OS-tan version whereas Chrome still does not have an official OS-tan.

Chrome has the windows Aero skin which makes it look good on my pc, while firefox has several good looking themes, it still does not cut to the chase XD.

Chrome is made by the evil empire of GOOGLE.

08-17-2010, 03:02 PM
I really prefer Chrome.. it's faster there aren't any annoying tool bars and all... :D and the searching in chrome is cooler than firefox.. :D

09-03-2010, 10:44 AM
i use Google Chrome mainly because it so much faster then firefox.

09-03-2010, 11:01 AM
i use also Chrome.

09-03-2010, 01:43 PM
chrome...it has smaller taskbar and faster than firefox

09-03-2010, 01:44 PM
Firefox, I have a computer that is fast enough that I don't notice a difference in speed at all. and as for chrome having a smaller taskbar, You can customize firefox to look exactly like chrome if you so choose.

09-03-2010, 10:50 PM
Firefox is the best !!! It only depends if ur computer is slow when u use firefox or Google chrome.

->Over 6,000 Ways to Customize
->Firefox 3.6 - 995 ms!
->Firefox provides uninterrupted browsing for Windows and Linux users when there is a crash in the Adobe Flash, Apple Quicktime or Microsoft Silverlight plugins.
->Short and sweet, Firefox uses less of your computer’s memory while it’s running.
->Faster Page Load
->With a new management function in place, Firefox keeps memory usage under control.

& etc ... Check Features

09-03-2010, 11:24 PM
Just as everybody mentioned, if you have a slow computer, better off with chrome. Functionality wise, I prefer firefox because of its plugins (xmarks,adblock,wot...). Also love how everything can be customized. Currently my firefox is consuming very little real estate space ;)

09-04-2010, 12:47 AM

actually chrome uses less memory and runs faster because its cleaner than firefox

so basically it comes down to speed and security vs customization

btw nice siggy avich lol

09-06-2010, 05:41 PM
i used, fgoogle chrome and firefox
but i often used firefox, cuz i can't post at the forum of OS on google chrome.

(currently using firefox)

09-06-2010, 06:08 PM
but then again rumours say
that google chrome is better for speed and stuffs
and my streaming on it is faster

09-06-2010, 10:57 PM
I'm always using chrome because for me its faster...

09-20-2010, 12:31 AM
I prefer chrome ...

It's much faster for me ...

09-20-2010, 02:38 AM
i also prefer chrome.
I used firefox, but switched to chrome. ^^

09-23-2010, 11:10 PM
i prefer mozilla :D ... you can edit mozilla so that it can load faster just look for tutorials.. you can even take the limiter off.. soo BANZAI FOR MOZILLA :D

09-27-2010, 08:52 AM
I use Google. because it is most faster then the firefox. i like fire fox. and it is very reliable for the users.

09-28-2010, 02:35 AM
i prefer google chrome..its because fast downloading..

09-28-2010, 03:06 AM
chrome baby! got the k-on theme installed! after school tea time ftw! ( chrome needs to update thek-on though, no azu-nyan!) this is my only concern so far.

09-28-2010, 03:54 AM
Pick Google Chrome....It's faster than Mozilla Firefox...

09-28-2010, 04:11 AM
hahahah... its like comparing ur mom and dad XD,,, what will u choose???... dahhh its hard!!

09-28-2010, 04:44 AM
LOL, the last time i saw a thread about browser is like IE vs FF, but now its FF vs GC eh hehe

I'm using GC now because it's much faster to firefox, and it also have some customizations like themes etc... and it's great

09-28-2010, 05:16 AM
i prefer google chrome... firefox always crashes

Sora Kasugano
09-28-2010, 05:42 AM
i prefer google chrome , cause its fast , especially downloading and stuffs , anime streaming , reading manga , etc xD

09-28-2010, 05:54 AM
yeah..you're right natsu..power of the google chrome..!

09-28-2010, 06:41 AM
bookmarks on the firefox but now I'm using chrome fast and easy specially in flash sites and streaming videos ^^

10-04-2010, 11:25 AM
Google Chrome, it's faster than Firefox.
I'd rate my browsers this way..
Google Chrome > Opera > Firefox > Safari > IE

10-05-2010, 08:11 PM
I posted on this forum a couple of times but I never really gave Firefox a try because I'm a loyal Google Worshiper.
Anyways I gave Firefox a try and... OMG you guys better turn off that automatic download option!!!
I just click download and it would download without asking me where I wanted to put the stuff.

Thats extremely dangerous!
One of the most common viruses get to your computer by asking your computer to download it when you go to the page.
In these cases the file will be downloaded instantly without warning. So turn off the automatic download option from Firefox.

Other than that it feels ok.
I still like Chrome better because its simple and clean which means it has everything I want and thats it.

10-05-2010, 08:28 PM
I used to said that firefox is better than chrome
But now chrome is seem like better than firefox because Chrome will split processes by depending on how many Tabs that you opened ( sandbox )
so that's why chrome has less possibilities to crash than firefox and it's freaking fast !
Hail Chrome :D Lol

11-12-2010, 12:52 PM
so most of you prefer google chrome, but i prefer the two, two is always better than one :D

11-12-2010, 02:41 PM
so most of you prefer google chrome, but i prefer the two, two is always better than one :D

that defeats the purpose of the stability and resource management
having two browsers open means your running almost twice as slow

when it comes to software, one is better than two when both do the same thing

11-12-2010, 02:49 PM
I am always using google Chrome .... and i have a prove its inside the spoiler tag

11-12-2010, 04:13 PM
chrome is faster can run almost anything and is so easy to use

11-12-2010, 11:28 PM
Still reminding people .... Chrome is easier + Faster + hmm anything u can do in it .... sorry I dont want to leave chrome to TRY firefox

11-12-2010, 11:31 PM
LOL!! I like firefox better. I mean look how CUTE it is!!

11-12-2010, 11:31 PM
I will not choose both ^^... coz i use Safari Browser :3

11-13-2010, 12:02 AM
For me it's chrome but I used Firefox last time! :D

11-13-2010, 12:45 AM
I stick with Google Chrome 'cause it let me play games or watch vids(requiring adobe flash player) although I don't have adobe flash player in my comp :DD

11-14-2010, 09:24 PM
Chrome is simple, yet better than any browser out there.:)

11-17-2010, 09:11 AM
I think google chrome is much nicer. I'm using chrome now, and i'm quite used to it now. It made it easier for me too. :)

11-20-2010, 11:20 PM
Firefox for it's flexibility AdBlock Plus and Greasemonkey.

11-23-2010, 05:56 PM
Firefox for me too because in firefox u can have addons and its customizable

11-30-2010, 07:35 AM
Firefox, bnut all my bookmarks are available in both. I switch like every 5 months xD sometimes it gets too boring for me

11-30-2010, 07:39 AM
`Firefox for me, because, I can use it easier than Chrome. and my Chrome is sooooo slow. and they said, that Chrome is big in memory so I'm using Firefox not Chrome.

12-01-2010, 09:44 PM
`Firefox for me, because, I can use it easier than Chrome. and my Chrome is sooooo slow. and they said, that Chrome is big in memory so I'm using Firefox not Chrome.

Its kinda proven that Chrome is the fastest internet browser and useless less memory than basically all other browsers.
The simple reasoning is that its clean.

The preference is usually speed and stability (Chrome) vs customization and features (Firefox)

12-01-2010, 09:47 PM
Well for now anyway its Firefox for me...Mostly because its what I already have and I am used to it. Also google collects the most information on people of any company i know. So using their browser probably only gives them more of my privacy. I know I know...at the end of the day I google everything anyway...so its the same.

12-11-2010, 10:38 AM
Chrome for me... since it has more page space and the Incognito Mode(Ctrl+Shift+N) is so awesome :woohehe:

12-11-2010, 12:03 PM
FIREFOX sucks! :wahaha:
chrome is better!

12-11-2010, 02:35 PM
`Firefox for me, because, I can use it easier than Chrome. and my Chrome is sooooo slow. and they said, that Chrome is big in memory so I'm using Firefox not Chrome.

Do you think so ? but i don't.
I have been using Chrome for long time and it's never disappointing me ( not included customization & add-on i don't care anyway)
I try to close 30 tabs and then open it again. It took less than 2 second and never crash or memory leak just like Firefox does in sometimes thus i don't want to say anymore further or else it'll be a browser war : )

Chrome [email protected]

12-12-2010, 12:11 PM
I use Google Chrome, it starts up way faster than Mozilla Firefox, and it doesn't slow down my notebook.

12-12-2010, 12:23 PM
Okay lets all forget about what people told u and will tell u ... I have tried Internet Explorer (slow + bad Idea to keep on it) , I used Google Chrome (I liked it .. fast + doesnt crash on me) , I tried FireFox (not as slow as IE but still not as fast as Google Chrome , I dont like the look of FireFox) So I settle on Google Chrome ... U can go on and do like me to decide which one is better.......
You should never Listen to what people say and just believe them ... Some people makes things just so u dont try it.

12-12-2010, 12:31 PM
I have tried to use Google Chrome but it was weird for me, since I've used Firefox for years o_o
I used to have IE too, but it was a pain, so I've never touched it since~

Maybe I should give Chrome a new try~

01-03-2011, 03:06 AM
chrome is very fast - good for surfing only
firefox has lots of functions - good for alot of other stuff

01-03-2011, 04:23 AM
I've been a Firefox user for a long time but ever since I used Google Chrome, streaming has been way faster. =)

01-03-2011, 04:31 AM
i prefer to chrome cuz chrome faster that firefox
i can stream wit easily wit chrome

01-03-2011, 04:52 AM
firefox for me cause it has and attribute that chrome doesnt have and i think chrome is for testing yet not fully supported by other application.,,☺☺☺

01-03-2011, 05:07 AM
i use firefox in my mac and internet explorer and google chrome in my other lap and i think internet is better for me cuz the favorite is much better

01-03-2011, 05:13 AM
I prefer google chrome coz it easy to use and faster than firefox i guess

01-03-2011, 05:39 AM
google chrome for streaming and others.
firefox for downloading.~ hehehe.

01-03-2011, 07:17 AM
somehow crome lags all the time on my computer so , i use firefox.. Though firefox opens very slow but it works pretty good ..

01-22-2011, 10:17 PM
chrome. its really easy for tab management (merging/spitting tabs from different windows).

also the minimalistic approach is nice. no unnecessary buttons and toolbars that i never use anyways.

01-23-2011, 03:58 PM
Firefox ^^<

1. Because of Personas.( You can edit your own )
2. Easy browsing.
3. Lots of toolbars.
4. unique "view image" function.

02-10-2011, 07:17 AM
I feel that Chrome is better, I don't really like Firefox, for some reason it lags on my comp.

02-11-2011, 02:07 AM
I like Chrome better because it's faster and has less lags and bugs.

02-21-2011, 06:52 AM
i use chrome. better browser for streaming. its faster than firefox for me.

02-21-2011, 07:15 AM
from firefox to google chrome the reason is chrome is not a ram eater and not always crash after 10 tabs and much smooth in flash and java sites no need to install those two because it's already inside of chrome ^^

02-21-2011, 08:21 AM
Chrome is fast and efficient.. but I don’t think I’m quite ready to leave Firefox yet thanks to the big range of plug-ins.

02-21-2011, 08:40 AM
- very fast and lower memory usage

- love its functionality (tonnes of plugins)

but now theres CometBird where you can enjoy the best of both world..

02-21-2011, 09:19 AM
well for me its firefox~~
still i did install google chrome just in case..for good measure

02-21-2011, 09:37 AM
Google Chrome:)
'cause for me its faster and easier to use:)

02-23-2011, 09:38 AM
I've switch to opera 11 -.- dunno why after stuck from chrome it was speechless just try it

02-23-2011, 12:43 PM
I'm using Google Chrome right now. For fast and easy browsing.

04-06-2011, 06:40 AM
Firefox because I'm so used to it but have chrome for back up lol

04-09-2011, 04:16 AM
Yeah, Google Chrome is Fast. But when I'm watching Anime I Use Firefox because some videos are not working in Google Chrome and Works in Firefox.

04-12-2011, 05:50 PM
Never got attached to using as many plugins as some so moving from Firefox to Chrome wasn't bad. I have become attached to just being able to type my search into the main bar in Chrome rather then the separate one Firefox has. Plus Chrome updating Flash automatically is nice.

04-14-2011, 03:42 AM
I prefer chrome, because streaming animes here is faster compared to firefox...
And also at the past when I used firefox, it chrushes~!

04-15-2011, 01:42 AM
Chrome for me, I like chrome's overall speed c:

04-15-2011, 12:08 PM
I used google chrome for emergency uses, like watching anime ^^ and other things.
i used Firefox for Facebook and others (:

04-15-2011, 12:25 PM
chrome is faster and it's not prone for crashes, firefox lags for me and the 3d thingy crashes if i use firefox >.<

04-15-2011, 10:06 PM
Chrome is awesome! Individual crashing tabs instead of the entire browser is FANTASTIC!

04-16-2011, 04:54 AM
Ill go with google chrome coz its fast and easy to use :)

04-16-2011, 05:10 AM
fire fox- can add themes
google chrome-can not

fire fox-slow loading of streams sometimes lag sometimes not
google chrome- fast loading of streams but not lag

so i prefer to google chrome

04-27-2011, 12:02 PM
I'll go for chrome
But recently I tried Safari.
(For me) Its better than Chrome.
Using makes me feel like Im using a super computer >:)

05-03-2011, 07:43 PM
i go for google chrome.. for faster and bigger browser screen

05-03-2011, 09:08 PM
i use chrome..... streaming time!!!!

06-12-2011, 05:01 PM
My situation is the excact opposite of the rest o.0 firefox to me buffers a page, and streams videos twice as fast as chrome...

06-12-2011, 05:05 PM
My situation is the excact opposite of the rest o.0 firefox to me buffers a page, and streams videos twice as fast as chrome...

Same for me Firefox has always given me better performance then chrome.

06-15-2011, 05:58 AM
I used to have these browsers. But I prefer Firefox more than Google Chrome. Chrome may be faster, but in Firefox there are add-ons that is very useful. They had this download bar that ensures all your Direct Downloaded files, when stopped, will still continue. (Unlike the others where it will stop and you had to re-download it) Also I had this application in Facebook that is only applicable for Firefox.

06-15-2011, 06:13 AM
Yeah, most of the time I use firefox instead of chrome cause some sites have problems with chrome. I also prefer downloading in firefox cause it feels more stable.

06-15-2011, 06:33 AM
if were talking about hacking i could prefer at mozilla..
but when it comes to social networks... i prefer google chrome...

06-15-2011, 06:56 AM
Google Chrome's fast but there are websites that have errors when visited like OS :|

09-23-2011, 06:24 AM
for me it's chrome...i don't know but firefox is not working as i wanted it to... add-ons?i actually don't like it.it contributes to how slow a page can load.but it's useful sometimes...(just my opinion) :)

09-28-2011, 05:13 PM
I was enjoying Firefox for a long time now until, at some point in time, the said browser hangs for about 15 seconds. After that, I started using Google chrome until now.

09-28-2011, 08:01 PM
Well for researching I use google chrome while the rest was firefox

10-01-2011, 05:52 PM
I prefer Firefox. Why? Because it runs faster on acer computer's. If you may as well not have an Acer computer, i would reccomend chrome instead of firefox. But hence when having Firefox, there is more plugins, and it runs faster in my browser.... Also when i was playing fusionfall it failed in firefox. so therefore i would actually go fore Chrome :) ~ Kitty-Chama >:D

01-06-2012, 03:07 PM
I like using chrome because of the automatic search and I was really amaze when I first used it because of the speed. Firefox on the other hand I think is also good but I don't really like the add-ons plus it is much slower

01-07-2012, 09:09 AM
Chrome for me, it opens faster than Firefox and the interface is much more awesome.

01-17-2012, 09:41 PM
Here's some Fact about Firefox and Google Chrome..

Google chrome
- They indeed have skins.
- Very light at memory
- Reliable
The bad side is...
- You can pause your download yet if you close the browser yet download is also gone.
- It doesn't maximize the use of internet speed
- It doesn't maximize also the downloading speed
- They always crash down.

- Firefox have skin
- Good for browser (I doesn't visit any page that doesn't require firefox)
- You can pause your download and even close the browser or even turn off your computer and continue it the next time you open your computer
- It took more internet speed than Google chrome.

Bad side:
- Its heavy in memory

That's for my observation
I think Google chrome took sometimes 65 - 80% of internet speed
And Firefox took 65 - 90% of internet speed

So if I was using a fast computer with good specs I prefer Firefox.

01-17-2012, 09:57 PM
i think the best in two is google chrome ! chrome dont not have excessive tabs that make the browser slow! not like in firfox! XD!

01-20-2012, 09:59 PM
Netscape Navigator all the way.

Actually no. I'm definitely kidding. I prefer Chrome. It's just more efficient for me and I think looks more sleek as well. I've been using it for a couple years and I haven't run into any problems like I used to with Firefox. Pretty sure it's the only browser for me.

The bookmarking icon for chrome is really cute, too. That gets it mad points.

01-28-2012, 12:34 AM
Chrome of course...
It's faster than Firefox and more convenient to use...

01-28-2012, 02:48 PM
Chrome because it includes google translate for easy translation of non-english websites! also I have not run into any problems like I was with firefox

01-29-2012, 10:24 PM
ive gotten used to chrome, I like the way the bookmarks appear n stuff, as well as the speed :) Although I heard fiefox took on a similar look which i havent checked out, one of my friends from work said he liked the old look of firefox. He ended up just switching to chrome cos it was firefox but faster lol... its all up to personal preference tho, a lot of my friends still prefer firefox.

02-01-2012, 05:39 AM
The simpel and yet accurate reason i choose chrome. Its faster. The issue with firefox aswell as Internet explorer and safari (mentioning the big browsers only) is that they are based on one singel program running for all of your tabs or windows the issue with this is that if lets say otaku streamers were to start lagging i might find myself having issues using another website. This will not happen with Google Chrome. My only complaint with chrome not really that big of an issue is the security with internet banks atleast here in sweden. (i use internet explorer for that stuff so im all good)

02-12-2012, 10:32 AM
I use chrome because I think it looks nice. xD

02-13-2012, 08:40 AM
I'm using Chrome. It's much faster than firefox and it's has simple interface and much more convenient for me :goodjob: hehe

02-26-2012, 05:02 PM
Chrome because its fast and has a nice interface.

02-26-2012, 06:01 PM
I like Chrome. It feels much faster and lighter than Firefox. Also, I have taken a liking to signing in the Chrome browser and saving all of my settings.

02-26-2012, 08:16 PM
I prefer Google Chrome cause it loads faster than any other browsers, very user friendly and it doesn't take too much memory. Firefox takes too much and sometimes lag.

02-26-2012, 09:33 PM
Firefox, not for any specific reason, really. I tried using Chrome and just couldn't get used to it so I stuck with Firefox.

03-09-2012, 05:58 AM
Google for smooth browsing
Firefox for downloading

Major Zero
03-09-2012, 11:18 PM
Google Chrome is good for fast browsing + downloading while Firefox is good for its' add-ons. The Chrome Webstore is better than the Mozilla Firefox Add on section so basically Firefox is great for it's numerous add-ons while chrome is for those who need to visit a site quickly and manage multiple tabs. Like I'm Doing now with OS

03-09-2012, 11:52 PM
it was better to use chrome than firefox for me, it was well balance ^_^

04-12-2012, 08:43 AM
I like google chrome cause its much simpler to use and firefox crashes too much

07-17-2012, 04:51 PM
Google Chrome for sure it's faster and it looks so sexy. I'm using it now LOL

07-18-2012, 09:58 AM
Always rolling in Chrome :3

07-18-2012, 11:52 AM
for me i like google chrome.

07-25-2012, 01:46 AM
I just use both, i use Fire Fox to download youtube music vids to mp3's.

07-25-2012, 02:31 AM
i going with chrome because its faster than Firefox

07-25-2012, 02:46 AM
I use fire fox for anything to do with media and chrome for normal surfing and spell check.

08-29-2012, 04:25 AM
I used both browsers... can't really decide which is better..both have their pro and cons.

08-29-2012, 08:40 PM
I use Firefox cause it is faster for me. Perhaps it is my computer or the fact that i changed the configurations a little bit.

08-29-2012, 11:48 PM
Chrome is faster but Firefox offers a lot of attachements, I still prefer Chrome over Firefox though

09-03-2012, 05:03 PM
I prefer firefox over chrome because im used to it xD

09-10-2012, 04:25 PM
google chrome is faster how ever the new updates chrome has lots of problems with playing videos

firefox i would is more of a main stream for downloading and watching movies with xD and just pettier much look up website that your not so sure about it has more protection then google chrome does even tho chrome can get the same stuff firefox can it just not worth the time to do 2 web browser with tte same thing

10-05-2012, 05:29 PM
firefox is way better. in terms of my hard ware if you are knowledgeable about the configurations on firefox it's pretty ideal. using alpha builds such as Nightly or Aurora seems to do the job.

10-08-2012, 06:39 AM
Well personally never used FireFox :O idk it didnt seem attracting >.<
Currently using google chrome ^.^ and don't really plan to change it's pretty awesome!

10-08-2012, 07:00 AM
google is more faster

GM Dragon
10-16-2012, 05:51 PM
both are better lol if google chrome got problem i will open firefox xD

10-27-2012, 10:32 PM
I prefer Chrome than FireFox.
And in my opinion, Chrome is faster especially when you use incognito. ^__^

12-30-2012, 10:16 AM
Chrome all the way! Much faster than Firefox imo.

Firefox also has a chrome theme though so that's pretty appealing XD

12-30-2012, 10:27 AM
Firefox for life. Chrome is a rootkit.

12-30-2012, 02:38 PM
my laptop's being a little.. lets call it angry for falling
on the floor too often, tho... so it won't allow me to use either one..
therefore.. I'm stuck with explorer... -.-

Sin Of Love
12-30-2012, 02:47 PM
I'd go with Firefox ^^ its very Good to stream in it :) Cause chrome just hang my Pc ~_~

12-30-2012, 03:12 PM
From my honest point of view, i was a firefox user since the begining. At first i hated chrome out of the blue XD... With time i started to use it and notice that it works better with less resources than firefox, and its more responsive than it's predecesor XD...

My vote goes for Chrome but both work rly good.

01-01-2013, 08:45 AM
It depends on the user. If you are used to using Firefox then stick to it! I am a Firefox user myself but I am considering using Chrome since Firefox usually crashes Flash. :/

01-03-2013, 01:53 AM
I use both Firefox and another browser called Comodo Dragon, which is a browser based on the Chrome code but is by a company other then Google that makes firewalls and security software so it is a bit more secure of a type of Chrome I believe.

But I want a Reivacks Browser.

01-26-2013, 04:45 AM
I'm going to be with Google Chrome cuz' my Firefox Crash and Hang up every time I started to click on it

01-28-2013, 12:27 AM
Chrome runs faster then firefox for me.

So Google Chrome =D

01-29-2013, 01:30 AM
Chrome is faster than Firefox.
But I stopped using Chrome and switched to Firefox mainly due to my computer being old (2004)

Here are the reasons why I switched to Firefox.
After a few flash updates I noticed that my processor[an old p4 @2.8Ghz] has issues streaming video online. Firefox, somehow uses less processing power to stream video online.

Google Chrome starts more than two "chrome.exe" processes (+1 for each tab maybe?) which takes a LOT of space on my memory. Firefox has only 2, firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe. And since I have a single cored cpu, Chrome freezes much more often..

I can't open more than 3 tabs on chrome or Ill risk a freeze. Firefox lets me open 10+ tabs with rare freezes..

4.HDD space? o.O
I dont know why but in a folder in Documents and Settings I found that Chrome saved nearly 1GB of I dont what...

While I have low fps when streaming in firefox too, increasing the priority "plugin-container.exe" fixes the issue. While this trick work in chrome too.. finding the right 'chrome.exe' is kinda tricky

01-29-2013, 01:52 AM

That is correct. Each tab open in Chrome is a separate process, also each active extension and plugin will have one as well.

Google Chrome takes advantage of these properties and puts web apps and plug-ins in separate processes from the browser itself. This means that a rendering engine crash in one web app won’t affect the browser or other web apps. It means the OS can run web apps in parallel to increase their responsiveness, and it means the browser itself won’t lock up if a particular web app or plug-in stops responding. It also means we can run the rendering engine processes in a restrictive sandbox that helps limit the damage if an exploit does occur.

Basically, each tab has one process unless the tabs are from the same domain. The renderer has a process for itself. Each plug-in will have one and so will each extension that is active.

-Chrome Development blog

Chrome is only fast if your computer can handle it due to its memory usage.

Current speed tests (http://lifehacker.com/browser-speed-tests/).

01-30-2013, 12:08 AM
Google chrome is much faster for me. Firefox gives me a lot of error's, crashes and slow buffering

01-30-2013, 12:15 AM
srsly i vote chrome on this one plug-ins always crash on firefox

02-04-2013, 02:36 PM
Theyre both good, but i use chrome.

03-09-2013, 05:03 PM
I just really like the customizable chrome accounts. Especially being able to log in and access your favorites from any computer

03-23-2013, 03:06 PM
I design a lot, so I have nearly every browser installed.

Contrary to a lot of the posters here, I prefer Firefox because of the extensions of ABP & NoScript which rewards you with a very safe browsing experience. Firefox used to crash a lot for me on the 3.6 version, but running Windows 7 & Linux Mint, Firefox is my preferred browser & has more improved loading experiences without the need to edit advanced settings via About:Config.

03-23-2013, 08:17 PM
I was a firefox user before, but now I'm using chrome. Guess i can't choose between them coz they're both speedy and fast... But i'm going to have to go with chrome..

Sorry Firefox.. T^T

03-24-2013, 01:41 AM
I use Chrome. Easy to use and good.
Firefox always crashes on me.. or Not responding

04-30-2013, 06:02 AM
I Use both of them but i use Chrome more often /gg

04-30-2013, 07:01 AM
GoogleChrome I think it's Faster and better*(in my opinion)*and you Cant Put Background extensions too

not Gitah
05-02-2013, 01:48 AM
I used Chrome before and it is real good, but then for some reason my preferences could not be saved...D: Hence resulting for my use of Firefox.

05-13-2013, 09:46 AM
I use chrome for browsing and use firefox for downloading.. coz firefox allows you to continue your download after closing the main window,,

05-13-2013, 11:07 AM
I more of a Firefox person... Since Google Chrome crashed and destroyed my beloved P.C I cursed it ever since.. even in a Computer Shop I still use FireFox

06-04-2013, 01:01 AM
I'll go for Google Chrome because it's much more convenient and safer to use rather than Firefox. Google Chrome also has built in Adobe Flash Player so you won't have any problems in viewing videos.

06-04-2013, 01:46 AM
frequentative used google chrome coz quick loading...

06-04-2013, 01:54 AM
i used to be a chrome guy but since i got my new computer i've reverted back to firefox and couldnt be happier <3

06-04-2013, 05:22 PM
I prefer Google Chrome as its faster, better and i can add extensions

07-30-2013, 10:18 AM
as for my opinion i will go for firefox i has a very useful function for me like the web developer menu tab which is i always used

03-31-2014, 11:46 AM
Why are people still using firefox when fire fox has made waterfox, and now nightfox, and firefox nightly. which all are just as fast or equal to chrome. also I use not just firefox waterfox and nightfox but when i am looking for streaming I prefer to use either nightly or comodo dragon from browser, if I am looking to research I prefer waterfox. people forget you can have more than one browser and you can run more than one browser at a time and personaly I dislike chrome becuase whenever I have used chrome I will have a system crash from a blue screen cache dump file cycle but when I uninstall chrome this issue disappears. nightfox is used for systems like windows 8 or touch screens btw don't get those confused with firefox nightly.

With the browsers I have i could not be more than happy with and majority of them are in fact a firefox version of some sort. waterfox, and nightfox, and firefox nightly are all versions of firefox that are upgraded and stronger browsers that can match chrome. same with comodo dragon.

03-31-2014, 12:37 PM
On my Mac, is Safari and Chrome. For my two laptops, I use chrome. Firefox always crashes on my PC

03-31-2014, 05:50 PM
Chrome is faster and way lighter as I've experienced. The only thing I don't like with Chrome is the "one click can close all tabs" which happens from time to time on laptops. I also don't like that they removed the scroll bar up and down area, so now when its a long page finding a specific part while using the bar only is harder. I have down to remember the up/down keys on keyboard /swt
Firefox used to drag too much cpu use for some reason on my older pc.

03-31-2014, 05:56 PM
I think it's quite obvious which browser stands at the top.

03-31-2014, 09:50 PM
I prefer chrome, it seems faster.....

04-01-2014, 01:36 AM
I rather use Google Chrome, but if it wont work I use Firefox

04-01-2014, 01:50 AM
Google Chrome for me, it's fast, user friendly and pretty much neat than other browsers. Plus extensions are easy to install. Though Firefox is good for downloading, I have third-party applications which are capable of downloading everything I need.

06-17-2014, 08:25 PM
I prefer Google Chrome as it's faster than Firefox.

06-18-2014, 05:46 AM
I'm using Chrome for a while but I can't post comments in YT there so I switched to Firefox. So, Firefox. :)

06-18-2014, 02:15 PM
Google Chrome all the way since it's faster.

06-20-2014, 09:21 AM
I use Google Chrome than Firefox <:

06-20-2014, 09:58 AM
Personally I prefer Google Chrome since I just love the design and all, but I can get why people like Firefox. I also think it's important to note that the guys behind Firefox are non-profit developers, though Google Chrome is obviously Google, so that would be a paid project.

06-21-2014, 07:19 AM
Both, (Using Chrome right now)
but I prefer Mozilla the most. XD

Kathleen Senpai
06-22-2014, 02:46 AM
Both are awesome, but I prefer using Google Chrome :D /ok

11-04-2014, 10:27 PM
Casual Internet Browsing : Chrome!
Functionality and Usefulness for Web Developers: Firefox!

Each has their own pro's and con's, as a web developer, i use google to search images and such and i use firefox's Firebug as a tool in designing, Google's automatic update is nice too..

11-05-2014, 10:16 AM
I prefer Google Chrome because I have problems with firefox, it crashed and freeze most of the time.

11-05-2014, 10:30 AM
both browser are good but due of the weakness I change to chrome much faster specially if you are streaming videos and don't want to install another application because it's not running and you need to install this and that makes me scratch my head for installing that program and sync everything to your android device, before I use firefox because it's much more safe than internet explorer and the use of add-ons like external function for the browser and bookmarks easy to navigate

11-05-2014, 11:55 PM
I used Google Chrome even if it crashes.:/lol

11-06-2014, 03:16 AM
Firefox, you can help develop firefox while chrome is limited with user interaction.

11-08-2014, 03:11 PM
google chrome ^__^ but sometimes firefox is better

11-15-2014, 04:46 AM
When I started using google chrome I rarely used firefox again. I'm more comfortable using it. I also have my important bookmarks in chrome which is incorporated with my email so whenever I change/or use another laptop or pc, I can easily access my bookmarks with ease just by signing in. And I also use extension tools/apps in chrome which makes my work easier. So I really prefer chrome.

11-15-2014, 12:19 PM
i prefer google chrome coz its easy to use i think ;)

12-12-2014, 06:05 AM
No offense but for me Chrome is better because whenever I try fox it just crashes and takes time in loading

Higurashi LC
02-04-2015, 04:48 AM
Google chrome is so much better and safer in honest opinion. I used to get viruses from firefox plus crash a lot

02-13-2015, 12:15 PM
I used to be a huge Firefox user until I realized just how much RAM it was using on my then-subpar rig. Since switching to Chrome, haven't looked back. And I agree with a previous poster -- being able to sign in to my particular profile on any computer and have access to my bookmarks is really, really handy.

02-15-2015, 06:13 PM
Interface and Streaming wise, GC

for ninja-ing and custom build kind of browser to i prefer mozilla, so much ext

02-15-2015, 11:27 PM
I'm more on firefox. im not comfortable on chrome.

07-02-2015, 10:25 AM
I never use Firefox because there is an experience of mine wherein I installed Firefox in my Desktop but the language is Russian. I find it a pain to search how to change the language so I uninstalled it. But when it comes to speed, I think Google Chrome is much better. I haven't used Mozilla yet.

07-05-2015, 02:53 AM
google chrome is much better now but I dont use it often Im more of safari and opera.

07-05-2015, 04:56 AM
I prefer Google Chrome, though Firefox is pretty good. Firefox is just too CPU intensive for me. I have lots of ram, so the intensity of that on Chrome is no problem for me.

07-19-2015, 11:53 AM
Still, Google Chrome proves to be useful and resourceful.

11-11-2015, 06:26 AM
Chrome is faster and lighter but Firefox has some little features which I prefer to Chrome. Like seeing the downloads list in a bullet rather than having to open a new tab for downloads.

11-11-2015, 07:21 AM
I use both from time to time, but I prefer Chrome, as I've used it longer than I've used Firefox.

11-11-2015, 08:52 PM
It all depends to watch Anime and be in here I use Chrome i found out I have way less problems here than i had with firefox. for everything else I use firefox

Jin H
11-12-2015, 06:20 PM
Firefox and Google Chrome both have good things about them, as far as features and 'add-ons', etc. I am on Firefox now and mostly use this, as it sees to my specific individual needs. However, I have Google Chrome also and use it occasionally.

11-13-2015, 09:49 PM
I am sticking to firefox because the download manager i'm using supports only firefox and ie...

11-24-2015, 09:45 AM
i have used both and i found Google Chrome faster but my friend uses Firefox and on her pc it is faster.

01-12-2016, 09:18 AM
to be honest i wanted the firefox because they offer a lot of option to change the GUI design but its lag and a little bit slow when it comes to streaming so im using google chrome..

01-18-2016, 03:56 AM
i had alot of crashes in Firefox than in Chrome, i guess im sticking to chrome now.

01-18-2016, 04:25 AM
Firefox has more holes for viruses and other nasty things to get through than Google Chrome. I can attest to that because I got a virus through Firefox that nearly crashed my computer x_X

These days when I'm not using Safari I use Google Chrome.
