Forgive and Forget?

Have you ever heard the phrase "forgive and forget"?


If someone does something wrong to you do you.....

Forgive them?
Forgive them and forget about it?
Just forget about it?
Neither?


I tend to forgive but never forget. I find it hard to just forget about something after its happened.

Sometimes I forgive but not forget and sometimes forget but not forgive. It depends on what the person did to you. If you're hurt a lot its kinda hard thing. >.> Maybe it depends on how kind you are. Maybe the person who did something bad to you already realized the bad thing he did. It takes time. Anyways, Wounds would heal by time and you'll totally forget everything and be ready to forgive. Just don't make your heart a stone. =_=

Hmm. I really must likely forgive but never forget. :)))))))) Though I've already the person, I'll always remember that certain thing (s)he did to me. And to learn a lesson from it.

Forgive then forget not to forget what happened but forget the bad things that had happened to you start again in the beginning

I interpret forgive and forget as a way to free one's self from the burden of holding a grudge. I truly is about freedom and cleansing unnecessary weights from what's over and gone in the past. Learn from it, don't relive it.

Forgiving is always difficult but nothing good comes out of holding grudges. On should always forgive but one does not necessarily forget. Always learn from the situation of which you are either the forgiving or the forgiven and pray these dont happen again. Forgetting depends on the person

I forgave her because i can't remember what exactly she did. Maybe that's not real forgiveness but what i do know is that i love her properly nao and i didn't before. Forgiving is really hard most especially if you where really hurt... And so is forgetting... But one can say that someone can forgive but not truly forget for as long as it was engrave in your memories (most especially if it really is hurtful).

I tend to be a very forgiving person, so in most cases for me it's forgive and usually forget. Unless, of course, I really hate the person, in which case I'll try to make their life just a little more hellish.
