Hello fellow OS members.
If you are new member of this site, a pleasant day to you. You have made the right move to create an account here and enjoy the features on this site. Welcome to Otaku-Streamers :: The Cure to your Anime fever.
You have taken your first step on exploring the forums. Before creating a thread or replying to a post, please take your time to read the RULES.
If you are about to create an introduction thread, please give a bit more details about yourself like:
♥ AgePlease don't just write something like this.
♥ Your favorite anime/genre
♥ How did you find OS?
♥ What country are you from?
♥ Occupation or academic year level or course you're taking up (if you're a student)
♥ Any other information/experience that you want to share
We don't want you to reveal some private information about yourself of course. You can be creative on your introduction.
Hello, I'm CloverLeaf. Nice meeting you! *insert a random smiley here*
See? The latter sounds friendlier and interesting than the first one.
Hello guys, I'm CloverLeaf. You can call me Fepi. Yes, it's a weird nickname taken from my real first name. I'm a Filipino but I'm currently living in Canada. I'm ___ years old. Single. *winks*
I'm a big fan of romance anime like Kimi ni Todoke, Special A and Kaichou wa Maid-sama. I also watch a lot of Korean dramas and movies.
Fate brought me here in OS. I found a video comment in some certain crappy anime site and it advertised this paradise. I'm glad that I found this site. Nice meeting you guys and see ya around!
It's good that you keep in touch with the people who welcomed you in your introduction thread. You can do a little chit-chat in your thread with the other members. You can ask some questions or anime recommendations to them.
To the older members who will post on the intro threads of our new members,
Please don't just write something like "Hello!", "Hi *insert member's name here*", "Nice meeting you!", "Welcome to OS!!" or something that goes with that. There are many other things to say or to reply. Please review RULES no. 3 and 6.
Posts such as that isn't very welcoming. We should warmly welcome our members. You can take him/her on a "tour" in this site by introducing him to different features in this site such as the Blogs section and the Chatbox. You can also invite him to join some Groups here. Recommending the new member some anime is a good thing as well. Most of all, personalize your post to the member introducing himself or herself. Mention something they talked about, things you have in common. Overall, BE FRIENDLY.
That's all. Thank you so much!
Questions? Suggestions regarding the Member Introduction section?
