Default Which series made you experience the full range of emotion?

we have all had a series that made us feel the full spectrum of emotions. You feel the embaressmant of the character. You feel the hatred they have for their enemies. You feel the sadness they encounter. You can feel the love that the main character has for someone. And you laugh at some of the situations they are in. It was such a good story that it sucked you right in.

For me it was Full Metal Panic. when i started the series i was bored and didnt expect much but i fell in love with it. I hated the main bad guy as if he was real. I kept wanting the main character to express his love for the heroine. I laughed at the situations that came up especially in fumoffu. i cried when he was forced away from her and when he thought she had died. This has become my all time favorite anime.

Im just wondering if some of you all have felt the same about other animes and, if so, what would that anime be and why?
(For the record, its an anime that made you feel the ENTIRE RANGE OF EMOTION not what anime made you laugh, what anime made you cry... etc.)

I would say Clannad. Since that I not really a fan of romance not until I finish the story. And not only that, the first season is full of emotion combination and to the second season of the story....got focused on romance but the level that can be watch by those who are really not a fan of romance. And beside, the story of the anime is one of the greatest I ever seen.

    Katekyo Hitman Reborn :')

Just because it was the longest anime series I've ever actually kept up with. I love it sooo much.

I hated everyone that got in the way of the Tenth Family's way. Like Varia and the Mare Ring guys? Yeah, no. Haaaaated them. But then eventually fell for Bel from the Varia, omgg.

I laughed at everything in that show. Flan and Gokudera were awesome comic relievers.

And I cried when it ended. And when they were all depressed about not being able to return to the past. Oh geeeze. I'm dead. I miss Katekyo Hitman Reborn.

QUEEN OF juggling multiple bad habits!

Clannad, since the story line is amazing, the comedy is hilarious and the drama is superb... 5/5

And also, Kimi ni Todoke... 10/10

anime series i really related to - toradora!, kimi ni todoke, working!!, and even kaichou wa maid-sama

but for a series that went beyond just being anime and really grabbed me emotionally, its clannad & clannad afterstory.

cried when nagisa died, cried when ushio was in the field with tomoya, cried so much at the end

clannad just beats the crap out of everything else for telling a good story

I would go for clannad because It makes me cry especially the arc of Fuuko. And also it is a well written anime. I know that already because it is based on its own visual novel.

Clannad is one of the best anime to experience a wide variety of emotions. Angel Beats to a lesser degree, but much faster to get to the emotional parts.

haha. i seem to have missed pointing out a very important point to people about this thread. this was to include shows that made you feel the entire range of human emotions. while it does include laughter and crying your also missing the other emotions. Hatred, jealousy, abandonment, and so many more. While im not saying clannad is a bad anime, but it doesnt bring in the entire range of feelings since their really isnt a villan in the series. Again clannad is a goog emotional anime but it still doesnt bring in the entire range of feelings. Angel beats does a little bit better job but still didnt manage to touch on all the entire range of emotions like other animes i have seen. Full Metal Panic still isnt the best example of the range of emotion that an anime can make a watcher feel but it incorporates jealousy, hatred, laughter, sadness, abandonment, and happiness. Im sure their are better examples and while clannad is not a bad anime and does convey sadness and laughter really well it doesnt bring in the other emotions nearly as well or even at all.
