Hajime no Ippo (awesome boxing)
Haikyuu!! (currently on Season 2, but will assuredly watch anything after)
Air Gear (awesome anime, as well as manga)
Diamond no Ace (I don't even watch baseball, but found this so entertaining)
Area no Kishi (soccer at it best)
Free! (gorgeous males bods in swim trunks, what more to say, oh... there's a good plot too)
Kuroko no Basket (Love the series, but the OVA's are a bit repetitive)

I'll probably confuse people with some of the more obscure(but excellent titles).
Since I started my anime fandom with starblazers/space battleship yamato (uchu senkan yamato) I tend to favor a lot more of the serious shows that also "wow" you with fantastic animation.. there are a few comedies and fan service shows I still love like ebichu, magic users club, and strike witches, but I more focus on scifi/fantasy, realistic mecha and of course aircraft.
