Default Can you learn things/lessons from anime which are applicable in real life?

I dunno if i made the right title...
But let me explain what I'm getting at...
Have you taken something you saw from an Anime
and applied it at real life? It could be a gesture...
A habit... Quotes?, or even a Fashion sense...
    Anything....

    For example in my case....

When I was a kid... I watched Slam Dunk...
And there was an episode... Where
Sakuragi was taught the " Evil Eye "
which is just Staring into somebody or something
    with Killing intent... or something...
    It's used to intimidate...
I got into Basketball too... I grew tall for some reason...

Now I'm like Takasu Ryuuji... From ToraDora
I may look like a delinquent... But I'm actually a nice guy...
My eyes became scary because of constantly glaring at others...

There was this incident where i just finished Rozen Maidens and 1 point when i was riding a Jeepney(Public transport vehicle)
    And I accidentally said " Desu "

In Tagalog what i said was...
    " Bayad po DESUU~~ "
(It is the act of giving payment for riding)
The driver gave me a weird smile afterwards... o_O

    Haha that's pretty funny~
The bus driven must've been confused.

I usually keep anime and my daily life separate, but after seeing that series of internet shorts called Nyoron Churuya san, I started randomly saying Nyoron. I only did it for about a month, but it was fun while it lasted.

I sure hope nobody actually acts like the perverted morons from those ecchi animes in real life.

    applications? LOL

I actually say Itadakimasu before I eat =___=
    other things I use regularly-
    yare yare
    mendokusai
    otto
and other things I cant think of at the moment ><

These are usually said under my breath and not so loud lol. Hmmm I've read a lot more manga then I have watched anime... I remember this one really beautifully drawn chapter image. It showed the character walking around in awe of her surroundings... and the title for this chapter was something along the lines of "I take different paths each day to make things interesting" and I personally made it my goal to do that.

Cheesily... I've tried to make Sawako's (from kimi ni todoke) "a good deed a day" a goal of mine. =/////=

Would you guys consider making someone smile, a good deed? Because that would be nice :)

hmm~ whenever I see a thin person, I call them "Kohi". I heard
it when I was watching Kyo kara maoh. Meaning "Boney".
Also, I applied the "turn your head slowly" thing that the animes do
when they're looking at other persons. whenever I do that, My classmates
    laughs. also: "nani".

Ah man, this reminds me. I was introduced to a cute Japanese girl called Mio today. I tried to impress her with my amazing knowledge of Japanese culture.

Turns out she didn't even watch anime, and she didn't appreciate me calling her baka either. I'd say I did pretty well.

Oh... You took a clean hit there...
I could even feel it stinging...
I guess not all Japanese watch anime...

Here are some other things i tried...

*Tried to write like Light.. Not very efficient..
*Apparently not sleeping and overeating sweets don't make you smart...
*I have Hair like Ryuuji... I tried to imitate it since i look kinda look like him anyway...

Other than that.. I have developed a habit bowing when I express Gratitude
    to someone...

    hrmm...

I was actually a lot like Ryuuji from Toradora before I even started watching anime. I think people might be intimidated by me somehow, because people tend to avoid me. I wish I knew if I actually was scary or not.

Well... after watching Keroro Gunsou for a month or so, I started randomly saying "de arimasu" after a sentence, or occasionally saying "GERO!" when I was shocked by something, and my all time favorite was the Kururu laugh. "kuuu ku ku ku ku..."

After Ranma 1/2 I started randomly refering to pigs as "P-chan" and made a couple references to the Saotome Ultimate move... "RUN AWAY!"

I also make plenty of Lucky Star references (which is a paradox, because Lucky Star references everything).

Aaaand, like solid, I used to say "nyoron" a lot when disappointed.

Thats very funny and I had a very similar experience.

When I first started working with my Japanese account and met the Japanese guys for the first couple of times, I also tried to amaze them with my knowledge of their culture from the amount of anime and manga I have gone through. Sadly ... Not ONE (from about 4-5 people) knew what the hell I was talking about and the things I thought were the Japanese way of doing things - only drew confused looks from my customers.

    After that I stayed silent!!

On topic : I just use Baka when scolding myself for mistakes. That way none of my subordinates realise that I am calling myself an idiot. I also use a Hello Kitty pen and have little Japanese phone ornaments (Not sure if that can be applied )

I usually act kinda like an anime character (from the most recent anime I watch) that I found imitation worthy for a while. But I can't remember any examples... T.T

lolz!! Bayad po desu!! haha!! XD

I get used on using their expressions.. like "ne", "arigatou", "nande?", "gomen" and some basic expressions....
once when I was in a mall I accidentally bumped into a guy,
and as a way of showing respect, I said "oopz!! gomen!!"..
I meant to say "oopz!! sorry!!" but my mouth automatically said gomen on it's own.. XD
