Yes, the lurkers are definitely around. I've been lurking for years, only recently started posting. I used the shoutbox a bit a few years ago, but got banned a few times for being a baudy little monkey and that really discouraged me from chatting at all.

got any idea how to raise your otaku level? they said if you hit 500 streams or something it would start going up. but it is not working for me hahaha

I don't really know how it works, but mine raised to 8 just purely from watching anime, lurking about. Also it might take time for the server to update it, so don't sweat it too hard and just enjoy watching more anime.

My otaku level also went up mainly from watching anime. If you go to your profile on the beta site it'll show you the actual percentage you're at as well!
