When I used to watch live-action, if I had a "Favorite Movie" it might have been something like 'Kouga Ninpouchou Basilisk - The Live-Action' or 'The blind swordswoman ICHI', it is hard to remember. For a "Movie Series", I can think of the 'Ringu' film series with four films plus one more if you add a Korean version (any american or western trash is not to be included). That is all I can remember right now.

There are so many movies I like, most of my favorite falls under the horror category but I also like some classic action movies, those that I grew up seeing. I hope I can remember those I haven't recorded or have dvd for. Of my favorite under horror, they fall under some sub-categories:

Favorite Gothic themed Horror Movies:

Sleepy Hollow Great gothic themed movie, Johnny Depp, beautiful dark scenery in this movie 9.5/10
Ginger Snaps 3 Highly rated, werewolf themed movie 9.5/10
Interview with the Vampire This movie ranks high for it's story of vampire, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt 9.5/10
Van Helsing Love the female vampires of this movie, the design was really good, as well as the character of dracula, "I have no heart, I feel no love, nor pain nor sorrow, I am hollow and I will live forever". This movie features Kate beckinsale and Huge Jackman 9/10
The Crow One of your classic gothic type movie, a pioneer 9/10
Hansel and Gretel A newer movie of witches and witch hunters, just as the story goes. Really well done and bad *** 9.5/10
The Addams Family This movie is a recommendation for goths and those of the dark
The Craft This movie was epic, if you're into witch craft, it's a must see. 9.5/10

Fright Night 2 This is relatively newer, great vampire & professor, recommended for those with vamp fetishes, although the ending messed up the movie
Underworld One word, epic! Kate Benkinsale could bite me anytime, the movie series was okay, but my favorite is the Movie 1
Bloodrayne Great vampire movie, Blood rayne 1 and 3 are my favs of the movies

Favorite Demonic or Demonic Possession Horror Movies:

The Exorcist This movie, if you're young or old, if you watch horror you'll know of it, 9/10
The Possession
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
The Haunting in Connecticut 8/10
The Ring Creeps me out, and the sounds. Great movie 9/10
The Crypt Not much of a fav, but I can remember it was good

Favorite Classic Type Horror Movies:

Friday the 13th Your fav Halloween movie? This movie follows Jason, even makes you feel sorry for him at times
Nightmare on Elms Street 2010 The Freedy Krueger Movie series were good, but I choice the re-make.
Halloween This movie ranks high on my fav for psychopathic killer movies 9/10
The Wishmaster D Jin, or the demonic spirit; a genie. Here to grant you 3 wishes ^^
Jason Jason is a classic, although it's not much of a favorite, it's worth the mention within classic type horror
The Hellraiser Series This didn't make my fav, but a worthy mention within classic horror
Scream Movie Series "Sidney, I want to play a game". Ranks high on my psychopathic killer list. Yes, this can be consider one of my fav "movie series" 9/10.
Saw Movie Series Psychotic Killer Movie, master mind, 8.5/10

Favorite Apocalyptic Themed Horror Movies:

Resident Evil Movie Series Great movie, great game. Milla Jovovich rocking hard on these movies

Favorite College Themed Movies:

American Pic Movie Series All the movies, except "book of love", that was a complete fail.
Project X Excellent! 9/10

Favorite Action Movies:

Universal Soldier Jean Claude Van Damme one of my fav actors, one of his best. Dolph Lundgren was very good also 9.5/10
Kickboxer Love the story and the training aspect of this movie, to go out into the "sticks" and learn the ancient ways of kumite, 9.5/10

Uncategorised Favorite Movies:

The mummy Movies 1 & 2 only, Brandon Fraser did a great job and his personality reflected fun in moments of danger
George of the Jungle Haha, Brandon Fraser again, really fun movie of jungle and love, 9.5/10
Silent Hill 9/10
The Grudge Worthy mention

My favorite movie is Atonement. That changes a lot, however. I would say that all of the movies in my Top 5 are my equally my "favorite." The other four movies are Never Let Me Go, Moulin Rouge, The Last Samurai, and Titanic.

Regarding franchises, often times I find myself enjoying one movie in the series but not the rest. That being said, I would have to say the Harry Potter series is my favorite series. While I don't like all of the movies in that series, I do like most of them

My favorite movie is Phantom of the Opera, but my favorite movie franchise is Transformers. Don't hate but I was devastated when Michael Bay walked away right when they were going to introduce Unicron. I was so stoked and because of everyone crapping on the films we missed a moment that could have made the whole series worth it.
