Wink Have you experienced unintentionally speaking Japanese words because of anime?

Have you experienced unintentionally speaking Japanese words or expressions because you are frequently watching anime? Like for example that sometimes instead of saying "Yes", you accidentally say 'Hai' or instead of "Sorry", you say 'Sumimasen'.

Of course as the one questioning this, I have experienced this many times. I admit that sometimes I do it intentionally, even constructing my own japanese sentences LOL.. It's so funny because there was one time when a teacher of mine asked me and I accidentally spoke 'Hai' instead of Yes, which to my surprise, because of that my teacher said that I'm weird (although I know it) and it gave me the title of being the weirdest in class. Also I accidentally curse using Japanese terms like 'kuso' :3
You can share some of your awkward moments too!

Not entirely unintentionally but I sometimes say wakarimashita (understood) or Naruhodo (I get it) as well as sokka (I see). I don't normally say it so audible that a lot of people hear it though.

I don't think I've ever unintentionally spoke to anyone in Japanese, as I usually think a lot before I talk. I do talk to myself sometimes in Japanese, but that's about all.

Yes... and I am in an Arabic speaking country xD

Once, I was walking with my mom and I accidentally bump into someone and I said "Sumimasen!" then I realized he is a Arab and his face was like "Whut?" xD

Well, yes, when I'm talking with my friends, sometimes I would unintentionally say kawaii, or konnichiwa or gomenasai and words of the sort. And my friends would just laugh along XD

Sometimes I do. I simply pass it off as an apology that I'm trying to learn another language, which is true.

I have. Sometimes I'll say "gomen." Oh, and also "hai" and "kawaii." Also, I consistently call my best friend "nii," because he is like a big brother to me, and he's used to it now. Oh, and I also sometimes say "baka" also. There was one time when I was driving and someone pulled out in front of me, or when I'm on the freeway and someone starts swerving or cutting people off or forgets their turn signal I'll yell "baka!" to them. Of course, I'm in my can, so they can't hear me anyways.

Yes sometimes, but not out loud really. The only word I have said out loud intentionally/unintentionally is "Kawaii~". Since a lot of people have already heard it and know the meaning. Though I don't say it out loud when there are strangers around

"Yes" - "Hai" comes out from a few times ... although people doesn't seem to notice as it sounds like "aye".

I've also been known to yell 'baka' at idiot drivers. And sometimes when I'm trying to find something I'll mutter 'doko' repeatedly to myself.

There was one time that I did spoke unintentionally and that was the sound "Kya". It's not really a word rather it's more like a sound effect. But I haven't heard any countries who shouts the way Japanese girls (in anime) do. LOL. Other than that, I never spoke Japanese words unintentionally because I think before I speak like rehearsing in the back of my mind. But when you do hear me then it's probably intentional. Though I do say "Kawaii" all the time in my head when I watch anime with cute and chibi things on it.

Nope, I intentionally use it around people from my japanese language course though. The best way to learn a language is to use it often.
