Default What techy stuff have you helped someone you know do?

Title says it all. It can be everything from helping your grandma installing java on her new laptop, or installing led fans in your friends gaming pc.

I helped my friend quite a lot with picking parts and building his new gaming pc, and tomorrow I will be going to his place so we can perform a memtest because of some BSoD he has been getting recently.

I've only really helped some people do some programming homework and stuff for a course. Other than that, I'm not really all that knowledgeable about "techy stuff," but I intend to do some hardcore studying in the future, since I want to try building a computer and more advanced coding.

Whenever someone ask me if I can install them something I help or just fixing some bugs on their computer. I try to find what I can do to help them. They think I'm really great on it but maybe they just don't know how to or lazy to find it out. (-_-)ã‚žã‚›

I've recently helped two friends with their OS. One wanted to upgrade from XP the other bought a new rig but didn't know how to install the OS.

I also "donate" my old pc parts to my friend if its compatible to his near-dying rig. I also install them hahaha.

Helped some friends download some leaked games, and helped them mod their games. Nothing to serious
No matter how things may seem they can't be better and they can't be worse. Because thats the way things fucking are and you had better get used to it nancy so quit your bitching.

I never touched the hardware of computers. I am much too afraid of electrocuting myself or damaging a part beyond repair. But I have helped solve the software/operating system issues of many people, from wireless connectivity problems to fixing blue screen reboot loops.

I hosted the Midwest U.S. server cluster for the game Blade Symphony on Steam for nearly two years until I had to take it down due to budget concerns. Also hosted Minecraft/TeamSpeak server clusters for a group of just under 100 people for over 3 years until they were taken down (again for budget reasons - house payments suck..).

My Dad flips houses as a side job, and I've fully networked the 5 that he's done in recent years (Ethernet or fiber to every room, wireless in every room, and camera systems where security was needed).

I fixed virus problems, drivers missing or outdated, system tweaks to speed up the system, reinstalled windows 7, fixed browser and other program problems. I also helped with streaming issues here on Os. And I made video tutorials for uploading on Os.
