Cool How many episodes do you watch before judging an anime ?

In other words, what if your "trial period" concerning anime ? I'm not talking about the one that you fell in love with in the first episode. It concerns more anime than, when you start watching them, you think "meh..." but you know to have to give a try.

Usually, if by the 6th episode I'm still not enjoying the anime, I drop it.
    what about you?

Nowadays, I don't drop series because I think I'll probably miss something if I drop it. Instead, I put it on hold and I'll watch it again if I'm ready. And mostly from episode one since I probably already forgot about it.

Actually if the series have 25 or more episodes, my trial period is normally from episode 12 and above. But if the series only have 12 or 13 episodes, my trial period would be from 4 and above :3

I have to get the whole story, so I always see a show through.

In order to do some sort of time management, I usually will judge a series on the first episode alone. Admittedly, this isn't best system, but it works out well enough and I can always pick it back up again if I hear good things about it. But if it's not bad enough to stop, I'll continue until it does, which usually takes 2 to 3 episodes.

it takes 3 episodes to define my judgment properly, i could never judge an anime after 10 episodes like a few of you... the anime is almost finished why would you stop 2 episodes away?

When you've watched as many anime as I have it takes only the first episode to decide. And I never drop anime, so I have to decide on the first look if I'll pick it up or not, which I regret most of the time because there have been anime that felt like a chore watching them.

If I feel like I may enjoy the anime I give it like 8 episodes, if I don't see myself liking it, I stop after like 3

    Haha, Exactly like I am!
For the exception, that so far I do not regret my actions.

I don't usually choose the anime on such a flimsy basis as most of here apparently do,
And when I do choose to watch a series,
    I will watch 'em through.

And yeah, just as Ragnarok stated,
there has been a few, which have felt like a chore.

I normally watch an anime through the first 5 - 6 episodes but if I'm still not intrigued with the flow of it, I'd quit and move over to another one.

I watch 3 to 4 episodes before I judge it. Sometimes, anime drag on and I stop watching. Like One Piece, i give a rest and when I'm in the mood for it. I start back the marathon again

If I'm not interested in the first episode, I'll give the anime a chance by watching 2 or 3 episodes, but if I totally get bored, I'll drop it.

I give it 4-5 episodes.. after the 5th episode and it sucks all the way it's over for that anime.

I'll never say goodbye, that's how it always is~
