Cool Have you ever DELIBERATELY delayed finishing a beloved anime??

ok so here is my conundrum. i am knee deep in Nisekoi. While I realize that i have a movie, OVA, and short series waiting beyond the initial show I am getting nervous

so I can't bear to think of finishing it. I haven't quite felt like this. Like if it ends, i will fall off the face of the earth.

anyway, i'm scared to finish it. i don't want it to be over. like ever!.

Have you ever deliberately stopped - temporarily or perhaps, slowed the pace of - watching a show b/c you can't bear to part with it??

i have not. but this has been on my mind recently!

    P.S
not only nisekoi...but those other anime i like the most... so i can savor the feeling of watching every episode... cuz i can finish any anime below 26 episodes in a day.

I get the same feeling a lot of the time, just can't bear to let any of the good ones end but I feel like I miss more if I don't finish them. Especially for Chuunibyou right now... In my opinion it is one of the greatest animes I've wathced. Every episode is somehow miraculously more amazing and just so much cuter and better. I don;t know how I could ever get past it ending. I know for sure that I will be buying all of their special edition releases of the videos and other fun things just to support them haha

But before I go off topic, I truly try to finish every anime I start. Partly due to the fact that I believe each anime has its own reasons for ending and partly because I find it to be worse to leave great things unfinished or delayed.

I do that, well not almost all the animes ive watched but only for those shows which i felt connected to because i think that when i finish the season there is no guarantee that there would be a next one so its just pure sadness haha its probably unlikely that people deliberately unfinish watching the entire show but there are really people like me who cannot bear the pain of an impending end of an anime that you loved so much hahahaha :)

Yes actually I have done this a lot of times now. When I'm really into an anime series, sometimes I kind of choose another anime to watch before I continue watching it again. Whenever I'm really in to that anime, I can't bare to think that it will be over soon especially if I'm at the 23th or 25th episode of the series. I always keep thinking that I hope this will have another season. But when it's really the final season, I get emotional xD That's why now I really savor the moments when I'm watching my beloved anime ^^

I can't agree anymore with you guys. I DELIBRATELY delay them T^T though I must end it quickly so that it wont suffer from being not watched

Nisekoi is definitely a good anime and a good manga

I did... when things get too emotional... I stop for a week then continue it again so that the impact won't be to strong to me :)
But in the end I still cry T^T

I have. When Kill la Kill was finishing, I held off the last episode to marathon the whole series leading up to that point. Then I finished it. (:

I stopped Mirai Nikki. I know how it ends but I'm still not ready to face the epic ending. Other than that if it's a long running show I'll wait for the story arc to complete before continuing. Sometimes if a show is based on a manga, I'll continue in the manga if I'm not ready for the story to end. I did this with Kekkaishi, I started the show and when there were no more episodes. I wasn't exactly satisfied with how the anime concluded the story and found out the manga was still ongoing at the time. I still think it was a great story.

Cant do it... I wouldnt be able to sleep at night knowing that i was preventing myself from learning what fate had in store for these characters that i have learned to love or hate.

No, I've never purposely delayed watching an episode although I might feel sad and sometimes dread that the anime is ending.

No, once I check and see that it will end in a way that I will be happy with or I am able to live with, I want to see it. There was a series like that at some point, with manga / light novels, bit I cannot think of it right now for some reason.

I didn't want to watch the final episode of Tri-Gun.
I really didn't want it to end. I loved that show so much.

I reached Episode 7 of Full Metal Panic & stopped there. It felt like anything further would just ruin what I'd seen. So yeah, I know the feels.

Aye, I have. It happens more often than not when I REALLY like an anime. I do it with regular series as well.

I watch more as I want to find out what happens next rather than delay finishing it...
