All you have to do is make your music louder than theirs.

An interesting, espionage-ish type melody. Drumstep
Didn't realize so many were into Monstercat style :)

I like older stuff, I'll show you a few that built dubstep? Here's one of the first songs to use the "drop", from 1991

I was like 3 around that time, but I really doubt that built dubstep. Maybe it influenced glitch? 'cause that's what it sounds like.

It's from way before dubstep, it's an early example of the "drop" technique. Old school jamaican dancehall was the closest thing to dubstep at the time. Skinny Puppy is one of the original batcave industrial bands that invented the techniques which influenced all electronic genres, active 1981-present. Highly recommended. Here's some Chicago hardcore from 1996. (Around the time Dub branched off from Jungle.)

Superstar DJ Keoki, one of my favorite ravers. Example of the fm-vocoder technique.

The original by odesza is nice, but I like this version infinitely more. It's been on repeat for atleast a month straight. Slow magic is too good.

A decent song from a favorite EBM group (mind.in.a.box from Vienna) mashed up with scenes from one of my favorite anime, Lain.

If ya'll are more into the club life, I highly recommend this track AND this artist, Dimitri from Paris. Great tune for the night owls nightly activity.

This track as well. Check out their music. This band might be from the 90's, but the music aged well. Also check out Masters at Work; the 90's EDM had some wonderful songs being produced.

Gotta love Virtual Riot. If you've got some really good speakers and subs, you'll want to crank this one.
