RESURRECTION!!!!!!! Since this thread has been brought back to life let me add my own ...... MEH....... F em. As long as I am happy I could care less about the sniveling of spoiled people who have never left their own backyards much less experienced anything that would actually allow them to form a thought or opinion bearing any kind of weight on anything in the world. That being said wow no more caffeine for you it goes straight to your noodle.

I'd feel sorry for them. Missing out on so much... there's an anime for everyone.

I think it pisses me off more if someone says cartoon and anime are just the same thing or anime is just for kids. In my place, most people don't seem to mind otakus because most of them are also die-hard fans of k-pop.

Why let it get to you? Not everyone is going to like the same things and that's okay, the world is full of diverse people and that makes it interesting. I've had a lot of the things I like ragged on and torn down and hated (music types, bands, movies, books, the fact that I like to read, etc). Heck, my whole belief system has been villanized for hundreds of years and even in this day and age I find myself trying to undo what has been done. Does it bug me sometimes? Sure. I mean people are basically tearing out chunks of me, judging me solely based on those chunks, and hating me. Do I let it get to me? No. Why? Because who cares what those kinds of people think. They have a limited view of the world and truth be told, I kind of pity them. They are missing so many wonderful things because they decide the world is black and white. It really is sad and pitiful. But there's no sense getting angry about it. That's just a waste of energy that can be used for other, more productive things. Like watching anime! ^.^ LOL

I actually see anime as way more accepted then when my friends and I started watching in 2008. I substitute teach and hear kids talk about anime in class casually now more than when I started. Also, I believe the older you get the more comfortable you get with the whole 'anime' thing. Things that might be awkward or bother you now probably wont in a few years...
    Well pssh yeah aight
