The Life of a Wandering College Student (Part 4)

So....Let's see. Well, I got a letter from my last college in the mail that said that I had made the Dean's List for the one semester that I was there. That was pretty exciting news, seeing as I had never made the Dean's List before. My mother has challenged me to do it again this semester at the new college. I really want to, but at the same time, I have no desire to do homework and I find the majority of my classes to be completely boring. Except Creative Writing, that is the only class that I am truly enjoying at the moment. Sadly, World Mythology, which had seemed to be a class that I would enjoy, has proven to be rather dull. I think it would be a great class if it was being taught by a different professor. He tells us that there will be things on the test covered in lecture that can't be found in the book, but then goes through the lecture so fast none of us can keep up. It's supposed to be a 2 hour class, but he's done in an hour and sends us on our way. *shakes head*

Anyway, so that's college. Work....ugh. I don't like it at my new location. Somehow, I have to worst luck with transferring. I'm really hoping something will open up in a different department soon just so I can shake up the monotony of being a cashier. The customers are pretty cool, but the working atmosphere is...dry and kind of dead. I'm also not quite getting as many hours as I need. So, I went looking for a work study that would keep in busy. The only thing I found that wasn't desk work (boring!) was a tutoring position. Now, I have 6 semesters of tutoring experience from my first college. Sadly, that doesn't seem to matter. In order to get the position, you have to have two teacher recommendations from the college that I want to tutor at...I just transferred here. Nobody knows me! *sigh* I don't really know what to do...

As for my kiddos, Toshi is doing just fine. Peanut, on the other hand, seems to be deteriorating. She's still bleeding here and there, but now she's started peeing on the floor! I think I'm going to have to take her to the vet. if only I had money.... So, I'm waiting on my refund from the college and taxes so that I can take her. However, I don't know how long that's all going to take and if there is something wrong with her, things might get worse the longer I have to wait. She still seems fine-eating, drinking, and such like normal, but....this is not normal.

Well, I think that's all I have. Thanks for reading.
