The April issue of Kadokawa Group Publishing's computer game magazine COMPTIQ confirms an announcement that was made back in 2010: namely, that an anime adaptation of Frontwing's adult PC game Grisaia no Kajitsu ~Le Fruit de La Grisaia~ will receive an anime adaptation. The game launched on February 25th, 2011 and has been favorably reviewed.

In 2010, four months before it was released, Frontwing's President Ryuichiro Yamakawa made an off-hand comment that plans were being made for an anime adaptation. This announcement confirms the truth of that remark.

A brief synopsis of the game courtesy of Anime News Network:

The game is set in an academy that is a cloistered "orchard" for girls to be educated and cultivated away from external influences. Five girls spend their lives within these walls in repentance and atonement. YÅ«ji Kazami has just enrolled as the sole male student there.

The Grisaia no Kajitsu PC game features designs by top animators Akio Watanabe and Fumio. Kazuya, Nachi Kio, Ryūta Fujisaki, and Yoshigazu Kuwashima wrote scenarios for the five different "heroines."

What form this project will take, whether an OVA or television series, remains to be seen. Those who are familiar with the game's contents speculate that the former option seems more likely. According to fans, the game contains some "very dark, very serious" elements that elevate it above the ranks of your dime-a-dozen adult PC games.

The official website of Grisaia no Kajitsu will not be linked because it contains seriously NSFW content.

New Itazura Na Kiss Live-Action Drama

http://i711.photobucket.com/albums/ww120/Srosalena/Kiss_zps47506c2e.png

Kaoru Tada's classic shoujo manga Itazura Na Kiss is set to receive yet another live-action television adaptation. Currently slated for a 16 episode run, the new series will premiere on March 29 with the title Itazura Na Kiss ~Love in Tokyo

The new adaptation will star Honoka Miki, a 16-year-old model/actress, as the heroine Kotoko, and Yuki Furukawa, a 25-year-old actor, as her love interest Naoki. Rounding out the cast is Yuki Yamada as Naoki's rival for Kotoko's affections, Kinnosuke Ikezawa. The photograph above shows the principle cast in their school uniforms.

For those unfamiliar with this classic title, Itazura Na Kiss revolves around a high school girl named Kotoko. After several excruciating years she finally works up the courage to tell fellow senior Naoki that she has loved him from afar since she saw him on their first day of high school. Naoki, the super handsome "popular" guy who also happens to excel in school and at sports, rejects her. Fortunately, fate intervenes in the form of an earthquake that destroys Kotoko's family house. While the house is being rebuilt, Kotoko and her dad stay at the home of her dad's childhood friend . . . whose son just happens to be Naoki.

Tada's Itazura Na Kiss manga is literally the gift that keeps on giving. It has been previously adapted into no less than four live-action series: once in 2006 in Japan, twice in Taiwan between 2005-2007 (under the titles It Started With a Kiss and They Kiss Again), and once in South Korea in 2010 (as Playful Kiss). It has also been granted a stage play and numerous drama CDs.

I happen to play the Visual Novel of Grisaia no Kajitsu, so I'm taking this one /gg

I wouldn't say I'm optimistic about it having an Anime Adaptation. It's a highly rated Visual Novel and it's incredibly long too, 50-60+ Hours worth of read. But anyway, I'm looking forward to the Animation if it's picked by a good Studio.

Itazura Na Kiss was what caught my attention granted it sounds somewhat different than the manga/anime. I hope they don't ruin it like they usually do when they make Live Action series .__.

I am highly demotivated to watch Jdramas because the cast are not-so-good-looking, unlike in Kdramas. I loved Itazura na Kiss anime. I enjoyed Playful Kiss (Kdrama) and It Started with a Kiss (TWdrama). But I don't think I would try the new Jdrama. :/

Grisaia no Kajitsu.... If kris said that it is a highly recommended VN then I am looking forward to it and if it will take you to finish it about 50-60 hours then I hope they will not shorten it to a 13 ep anime.

I don't like watching Jdramas so no comment about Itzura na kiss. -peace to those who love watching Jdramas XD-
