A fantasy series written by Uehashi Nahoko (Seirei no Moribito) about a young woman who is drawn into a war between kingdoms. She has the ability to command animals, including dragons, as if she was playing a musical instrument.
Such a beautiful story. They really don't make much anime as great as this, a real shame. Stuff like this is the definite proof that anime transcends slapstick and echiness.
