Vista should die in a fire ~.~

i choose windows 7 of course, tho it does take more memory but makes up in appearance/features, it has backward compatibility so no problems with programs, it just depends on your preference of system..
Hold fast to your dreams, for without them life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.

indeed. alot of the problems people had with vista was fixed with 7. i used vista for a few months crashed so much... and yes it was a retail verson not a bootleged one. so ya after that issue i deleted it and reinstalled XP cause of how much problems it gave me soon as 7 came out i got it have never looked back sense. my comp is going nearly 3 years with out so much as a crash
well vista is a big disappointment for me... i bought a laptop when it got released but i reformatted it to windows xp for my thesis... well there are compatibility issues and it simply just suck... not much longer they introduced windows 7.why do you think so?coz vista is not doing good in the market and so that microsoft can recover from it's loss and failure i think...well i can say that for now windows7 is the best OS not that much superior to windows xp thou but it's performing well...
I prefer using windows 7 than vista and XP why? because its good to use, windows vista I think its only use related to work, windows xp its a bit old so I prefer windows 7 ^_^
Maybe I should update this thread :D
For me I prefer the Windows 7 Ultimate..
Its good for any side but yeah kinda complicated.
I also heard that there will be a new OS(Operating System)
I think my bro said its Win8? this 2012?
Windows 8 looks good but I'd still prefer Windows 7. Its getting more complicated on the latest. >.<

Actually I would be considered a noob if I were to have XP on my current system:
Intel i5-2500k CPU 3.3GHz (quad core)
8.2GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6770
OS Windows 7 64bit
Basically XP can handly up to 4GB RAM so half my memory would go to waste, that and 7 has so much more then XP does, changing back grounds (like OS lol) you can put a slide show on your desktop, monitor you CPU there are so many gadgets that 7 has that with those alone are better then old XP, plus the customization is awesome as well.

Windows 7 all day, it's the best right know
The debate about XP and 7 is just a matter of computer specs. If you have a high spec comp and a very large HD then 7 is good. On the other hand 7 like all OS isn't that perfect. I won't go into much details since most users of it are not really into things that I do with my PC. Comparing to Vista 7 is good but if your using ultimate 7 then you just have to get familiarize with it. As for XP, well for an old OS this one is pretty good. A lower spec comp and by that I mean by standards compared to today's high-spec ones, XP is definitely your best bet.
In the end there is really no good or bad between this OS, well except Vista, it's just your preference, comp specs and familiarity with the OS.
I use Fedora and Win7 on my systems although I just prefer using the linux because it's more productive...

When Vista came out, you had to upgrade you hardware for the OS!!! With the norm beeing 1, maybe 2 Gb of Ram, Vista was dragging along not to mention the CPU proccessing draw that I personally would have preferred redirected to my gaming/Cad. Now between XP and 7, I still use XP 64bit on my old PC because of it's lower hardware requirements, but as a serious gamer, I want to experience my game with DirectX 11, so my brand new laptop runs 7, XP supports DirectX 9, there's also a hacked version of DirectX10 for XP out there, but...
I prefer Windows 7. It's easy to use for me. and that's what I'm using right now
