What was the very first manga you read?

I started out my "Otaku life" with anime. People called it "Japanamation" then lol. It took me quite a while to figure out that artists in japan drew comics, and then people animated those comics. Once it clicked that Id be months ahead of all my favorite anime if I started reading manga, I dove right in. The very first one I read was Inuyasha, in middle-school. A girl that sat in front of me would let me borrow them. Berserk, though, was the first manga I bought with my own money. (huge contrast there huh)
Some one else probably answered this already, but yeah, there is a Darker than Black manga. Come to think of it, I've never seen it in a book store either... I'm sure you can find the scans online though.

My really first is the Slam Dunk,but I only barrowed it to my classmate when I was in Grade school. Only one volume and I even forgot that part. So I haven't continued it. But the first that I seriously read is the Fairy Tail.

I think mine was the first edition of Shonen Jump.
It came out when I was in middle school, and I was interested in it because I wanted the Blue Eyes white dragon limited edition card that came with it XD

The very first manga I read was JunJou Romantica xD. I was tricked to read but I did finish it lol. The first manga I bought was Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (CLAMP!!!). And I started as an anime otaku.

That would be Psychic Academy. A classmate brought the first volume into class one day and let me borrow it.
From there, someone else let me borrow volume after volume of Naruto to read.

After that, I started reading manga online, though I wouldn't mind owning a few series...

urrhh .. I forgot the title .. I had it when I was in grade 5 (10y/o) and it washed away by the flood .. I'm 22 y/o now .. but I'm certain that manga was awesome.

Unfortunately, I've only recently got back into the whole otaku idea, so my first manga that I actually read was Ao no Exorcist. I started down the road of otaku with anime a long time ago, but manga was a newer development for me.

Well at first I was not really interested in manga then my brother borrowed a manga from his friend entitled "tsubasa" so if that's the case tsubasa was the first manga I ever read :)
