Just like several others on here, I have read the LN's and can't wait to see how this keeps going. I think it is doing good so far. It does have it's up and down moments of leaving things out, but it is doing a decent job on timeline and character build up before the main story. Which is a good thing for all the lazy people who don't like to read LN's.

I do have to say though if you are one of those people you are SERIOUSLY MISSING OUT!!!!! (think I made my point on that.) The LN is absolutely amazing. I just hope the 25 eps for this season are just volumes 1 and 2. Would be a total waist if they try to cram in any more volumes with it.

I just watched the first episode of this, and I really think I'm going to like this show if it keeps it up. One thing that really draws me into it is the whole idea about virtual reality, as it is something I'm sure almost everyone wants, especially me. Since everyone here seems to think the LN is awesome, I'll check that out too.

thoughts about Episode 7 :

hmm.. let's see. there were a few things that were "somewhat" omitted like why and how Lisbeth got her house/shop. and How Lisbeth and Asuna talked about "the guy that Asuna likes".
they originally didn't know the quest requirements in order for them to get the materials but they changed that part (which was a complete bummer to me, dunno I felt that part was important for the plot)

and also the ending conversation was a lot shorter than expected, and wasn't really that much "tear jearking" than it's supposed to be. (read SAO light novel, volume 2 ; chapter 2 for proof)

I grinned with an impish smile.

Kirito smiled as well, giving a deep nod. Next, he swung his left hand, opening a window. Just as I wondered what he was up to, the «Elucidator» was removed from his back, stored into the inventory. Following that, he manipulated his equipment figure, materializing a new sword in its place. «Dark Repulser», the white sword filled with my emotions.
"From today onwards, this sword will be my partner. The bill will... be settled for in the other world."
"Oh, now you've gone and said it. It'll come at quite a cost."
As we shared laughter, we bumped our right fists against each other.
"Well, let's get back to the store. Asuna must be tired of waiting... And I'm getting hungry too, anyway."
I said that, and began to walk after getting up in front of Kirito. For one final time, I firmly wiped my eyes, scattering the last of the tears still in the corners of my eyes, and they vanished into beads of light.

I kinda felt that it was really important that they included the part where Lisbeth wants them to meet up after they(or rather Kirito) beat(s) the game. BUT THEY DIDN'T FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUU lol T.T I was seriously waiting for the ending coz that was actually my favorite part of the SAO Volume 2 Light Novel, and they left me dissapointed.


So anyway... I felt that the way they portrayed Lisbeth was great (though they should've developed her character a bit further, since this episode was leaning a bit more toward romance. romance genres need a lot of character development in order to pull it off)

in the end I was kinda dissapointed on how they made her episode, coz I really loved her chapter on the light novel (so much that I read that chapter twice in a row). A few parts felt kind of rushed, but I'd have to say that scene right before they sleep was done really well and also that part right before Asuna popped in was great. Also the art is still superb and their soundtracks is the best this season(IMO).

oh and Sora-san if ever you read this, too bad they didn't show Kirito's

anyways back to the main point, I kinda wish they made this a 2-part episode like the previous ones (or maybe they should've made this an 2 or 3 part OVA since this was the only chapter in the light novel that had a scene wherein SAO was beat and was that was a really important part for that chapter). So yeah, I'm guessing that they still haven't gotten the hang of summarizing the LN and SAO is still a "hit or miss" series, but nonetheless I'll keep on watching it

Ewww, that sucks. I didn't watch it yet. I'm kinda busy with my work here in OS lol. You know, uploading and stuffs. I'm busy converting and encoding some Series as well as downloading them. I am definitely in agreement with Martin on this episode. I was so disappointed with all the stuff they left out including how Lizbeth has an NPC that runs the front of the shop for her. It could have been easily made into 2 episodes but they went for just an abbreviated version of the chapter.

I was really upset with everything they left out though after she created the sword, which was the explanation Sora was hoping for and him making that his perm weapon for Lizbeth.

I am gonna continue watching the series, but really hoping they stop cutting out all sorts of good parts from the LN just for the sake of time.

I have a strong feeling that Kirito will use his Double blade ability in the next episode since He asked for a One handed sword which can match his current sword. *Crosses Fingers*

I want to see what it's like in the front lines. They haven't shown the front lines so far D:

Hope they show Kirito's <<Dual Blades>> sword skills in the next episode seeing that the title kinda gives off that kind of hint but lets just hope they don't rush things again since the story is going to the main storyline now.

Okay, here's my thoughts in Episode 7:

Lizbeth? A New Rival for Asuna, our Heroine? No-no-no. It's more like a well-rounded Episode x)

Meet Lisbeth, Asuna's best friend and of course a High Level blacksmith.



And one day, Asuna recommended Kirito to go to Lizbeth's shop since Kirito wanted a Strong sword like his "Elucidator".



^This should be her reaction when she knew that Asuna's Special someone was Kirito. That raped-face

I smiled when Kirito OP broke Lizbeth's strongest sword in her Shop XD Due to that, Lizbeth got provoked and went with Kirito to search for Materials that can forge a much Stronger Sword than Kirito's Elucidator.



Poop? Say what? XD LMAO, the materials is actually a Dragon's Poop? Well uhh... AWESOME! Gotta love Kirito showing his OP Skills, not much action again in this Episode though :'(



Awwwwwe :> How adorable, it makes me sick! I like how Liz is so honest about her Feelings, unlike Asuna's tsun tsun side. Uh well.. we have yet to see Asuna's Moe side anyways XD But sorry guys, I'm an Asuna Worshipper, I don't dig Liz. :P



How is that unreal? That's what a young Man and Woman who are stranded in one place should do, especially when its a dragon nest. Well, overall I hate the idea that Kirito's <<Dua Blades>> wasn't shown in the Episode. In the Light Novel, Kirito showed it to Lizbeth after asking him why he needs a good sword especially when he already have a very strong and rare one. Well, can't help it. I actually thing it's a bit early too.

Episode 8 was good. Enjoyed watching it.

Loved the fight scene and the look on all their faces for the ragout rabbit meat. Was surprised when they added they laughing coffin member watching the fight. I guess that will help with the tie in later for those who haven't read the novels. The part i liked the most though was definitely the part Asuna said to stop about the marriage. They definitely did a good job on that one. Thought they might actually leave that part out.

Finally their covering the main storyline now which is the Vol. 1 of the light novel in ep. 8. I'm expecting a lot of awesome animation on the fight scenes since this is the part where swords skills are frequently used.
