Hehe... All I used was a plain old notebook, I got both alphabets down in a month. This is probably great for people who find pen and paper boring.![]()

I personnaly recommand Rosetta stone Japanese levels 1 for beginners: its a very cool software, and with it i have already learnt kanas and how to make simple japanese conversations with it by learning by heart..
Na they don't have letters they basically have consonant-syllable pair sound, and a symbol for each sound, e.g. A,e,I,o,u,ka, ke, ki,ko, ku, and etc. there are some exceptions such as "tsu " and also some of the sounds ar just "softened versions" of other sounds for example correct me if I'm wrong, but the simple for "KA" will turn into "GA" if you add what I believe is called a ten-ten. The symbol for ta will become. Da and so on and so forth,
It wounds complicated, but really, it seems like it would be easier to learn Japanese frau than learning English fresh.
PS forgive me for the spelling, spacing, and grammar errors, I'm using my kindle fire so I cant really type well since I type too fast for it to keep up lol xD
