New "Mangirl!" Anime || The Future of Type-Moon || "Milky Holmes" SP || . . And More!

According to the website Comic Natalie, Studio Dogakobo has been hired to produce a television anime adaptation of Tamaoka Kagari’s 4-koma comedy manga series Mangirl!. The adaptation is currently scheduled to be released sometime next year.

The story of Mangirl! follows the daily lives of Editor-in-Chief Hana and her associates (who are nicknamed "Japan's cutest manga editors") as they strive to reach their goal of publishing the absolute best manga magazine possible . . . even though they have no experience actually editing anything!

In addition, the website for Monthly Comic Earth Star magazine has confirmed the announcement.

Type-Moon Reveals Their Plans for the Future

In a recent interview with Japanese gaming website 4Gamer, three prominent members of Type-Moon—writer Kinoko Nasu, artist Hirokazu Koyama, and producer Monoji Tsukuri—discussed the future plans of their group.

According to Nasu, even though Type-Moon's first priority is to complete the currently-delayed Fate/Extra CCC RPG, they are simultaneously working on a remake of their Lunar Legend Tsukihime game.

Nasu then revealed that the all-ages game Mahō Tsukai no Yoru, which was released on 12 April 2012, has two as-yet-unnamed sequels in the works. He also went on to say that the series' real story will finally "start in earnest" in the second game. The plot of the first game follows a young woman named Aoko Aozaki who, after moving into a mansion that is supposedly haunted by a witch, begins to learn sorcery from a young mage named Alice Kuonji who just so happens to be the rumored witch! A young boy named Sōjūrō Shizuki is drawn to the mansion and unexpectedly comes to reside with them as well . . .

Finally, when asked about the status of the third volume of his DDD novel series, Nasu answered that work on it will resume after the Mahō Tsukai no Yoru series is finished.

A New Zettai Karen Children Project Has Been Announced

The wrap-around jacket band on the 30th volume of Takashi Shiina's Zettai Karen Children has announced that a "new project" related to the series will be "launched" soon. It further hints that the project is quite likely to take place this year. More information will be revealed when the next volume of the series is released.

New Special Episode of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes Announced

According to the the project's official twitter account (@MilkyHolmes), a one-shot special episode for the anime Tantei Opera Milky Holmes will be produced this summer. The title is Tantei Opera Milky Holmes Alternative ONE ~ Kobayashi Opera to Gomai no Kaiga.

No additional information is known at this time.
