In addition to the donations, I think its about that time to close the registration for a while and cleared out some series that are barley watched and rated like crap. And also inactive member accounts that are inactive past a certain time frame. Basically what can be done to get the server usage and bandwidth usage under control since that is the primary expense. The cost of the site is going to keep increasing exponentially offering open and free service and most likely will have to shut down if changes aren't made soon. Increasing donations is only a band-aid for the problem. Real change is needed and needed soon, time for excuses is over.

hey i wanna suggest to the admin of OS for a new way of donating money. I know that their are a lot of people here want to donate but since almost every members here are underage and cant get a credit card why don't we make another way to receive donations???
for example western union money transfer, ML kwarta padala and etc...cos if it's there another way to donate then donations will flood i guess :) and kindly please don't limit the minimum amount($2) that we can donate, just like Bindu1000 said "We have around 12K active members and if everyone of those members just donated $1 every three months, we would be more than able to not only keep this site running but actually upgrade to a better, faster site" i wanna donate too but since the minimum amount that we can donate is $2 but the money that i can donate is only $1, so the admin shouldn't put a minimum amount limit.

...cos it doesn't require any cards at all..

oh! how i wish i could donate on this site. but im still a minor student, i don't even have my own atm card, and even if i have savings, i dont think i can donate. i'll just pray for this site not to close down, and to pray for the adults that have their own income to increase their earnings so that they can donate here in os. Not a regular poster, but I've been lurking and watching for some time now.

It's kinda sad that most of this thread is people explaining how they can't donate. I'm not upset with those people for being unable to, but where are the people who can? I've been somewhat disappointed by the streaming speeds lately, so some action to alleviate bandwidth would be nice. I have donated $10 in spite of this, in the hopes that the service will improve. If it goes down anyway, I'll be very disappointed. :(

i wish i could help and donate but my parents won't allow me to use the credit card and all i have else is cash...

are there any other options to donate other than through paypal? i think more donating options would allow more people to donate bc some people seem to have only cash and others seem to have credit cards but want to donate in a different way from paypal.
