A Steins;Gate Film Has Been Green-lit
http://i711.photobucket.com/albums/ww120/Srosalena/steins.png
Earlier this week Steins;Gate producer Yoshinao Doi indicated that viewers should keep watching after this week's episode's ending animation sequence. The reason for that warning has now been revealed. Immediately following the final episode of the Steins;Gate television anime series (which aired Wednesday), an announcement declared that production for an all-new Steins;Gate has indeed been green-lit.
If you're unfamiliar with the "scientific adventure" anime, Anime News Network (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=11770) kindly provides a brief synopsis:
The story of the original game revolves around the eccentric college student Rintarō "Okarin" Okabe and his "Mirai Gadget Kenkyūsho" ("Future Gadget Laboratory") circle of friends in a realistic version of Tokyo's Akihabara district. The friends turn a microwave oven into a machine that sends email messages to the past, and that attracts the attention of a mysterious organization called SERN.
5pb. studio head/producer Chiyomaru Shikura initially revealed the news before the announcement actually aired, but many fans remained skeptical until they saw the confirmation flash across their screens. You can now watch the teaser below:
