Need a cool Kanji character.

Well for my art class, we are doing a Raku firing. For those of you who don't know, Raku is a Japanese pottery style. I figured that since it is Japanese, it would be interesting to engrave a Kanji into my pot before we fire them. Does anybody know any Kanji that not only has a cool meaning, but looks really awesome as well?

Jigoku ( mean Hell ) in kanji i believe its じごく
nozomi ( mean Hope ) のぞみ
hitojichi (means hostage) ひとじち
