Reason why i chose this guy is because he brings a fresh taste in swords. Just look at that sword he wields. It is like a motorcycle throttle with a blade. Just like Squall Leonheart on Final fantasy 8 with gun + blade.

I dont know about actual swords, but I have always liked Saya and the way she wields her sword in Blood +. She just gets right into it .. XD. And that little groove for her blood to flow? Cool :4:

I dont know since Saber does have Mind's Eye ability which is she can anticipate the opponents movements and she had a good enough master like in the Heaven's Feel arc she would easily pwn kenshi. I mean even beserker is no match for her in that story arc. (You guys gotta play the visual novel game of Fate/Stay Night to know the full extent of Saber's power) :emh22:

If i were to pick a sword-wielding awesome bad-arse character id choose Archer from Fate/Stay Night. Hello? Reality Marble? The power to make ANY WEAPON no matter how old or if it was lost, or in other words no limit on what weapon he can create? Now THATS awesome. And oh the fact that once your in the Reality Marble your basically dead just like how he killed beserker 6 times. Even Saber and Beserker one on one was like a handicap match and he actually killed Beserker 6 times on his own. :emh22:

I'd go for the Lai sword style( a style where a sword wielder unsheath and slashes and resheath his sword... Touka from Utawarerumono is one example of a character that uses this technique...

so my answer is any anime character who is cool enough to use this style...

I see that there are many fate/stay night fan here...

But my favorite character who uses a sword would be Saya from Blood+ even though the fight scenes with the sword isn't as good.

Since Devil May Cry has had an anime before, then mine would be Dante. The dude can basically use every weapon he gets his hands on, especially the strange ones like the 'Lucifer' weapon from DMC 4 or the 'Nevan' guitar/scythe from DMC 3.

Other swordsmen I find cool:

Gintoki Sakata from Gintama - He can cut steel with a wooden sword. How's that for cool?
Saber from the Fate series - She's invincible, really(or at least Arthuria is :D).
Kenshin Himura from RRK/Samurai X - He's like the poster boy for samurai characters, lol.
Archer from Fate/Stay Night - Unlimited Blade Works
Zaraki Kenpachi - Though his style is very unrefined and his zanpakuto is nameless, he kicks more a** than all of the captains combined. Except for the old man, though. :D
