According to the July issue cover of Young Ace (http://www.kadokawa.co.jp/ya/) magazine, an anime adaptation of Kodama Yuuki’s manga series, 「Blood Lad (http://www.kadokawa.co.jp/comic/bk_detail.php?pcd=201001000217)」, will be green-lit for production. The announcement may have come prematurely as the magazine cover was quickly replaced from the original source (http://www.haruhikyougaku.jp/magazine.html) (seen below).

Staz is the vampire boss of a section of the demon world, but he has little interest in human blood. He’s more infatuated with Japanese culture. When he learns that Yanagi Fuyumi, a Japanese teenage girl, accidentally wanders into the demon city, he jumps to the occasion.

However, while Staz deals with an intruder on his turf, the oblivious Fuyumi is killed by a monster and becomes a wandering ghost. The disappointed Staz vows to her that he will find a way to bring Fuyumi back to life.

The official website of the Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!! Keitaro Motonaga (Katanagatari, School Days) and the studio LARC are adapting MinatoSoft (http://www.minatosoft.com/)'s adult dating simulation game of the same name. The slapstick comedy action story is set in a modern-day school and features a boy named Yamato Nanoe who is surrounded by all-warrior female cast.

MinatoSoft screened the 124-second promotional video at the May 8 "Dai Minato Matsuri" event (http://minatocd.com/event-daiminatomatsuri.html), where MinatoSoft and Pony Canyon (http://www.ponycanyon.co.jp/) also announced that the anime will premiere this fall. Kawakami City is famous for its strong dedication to its samurai ancestors. A healthy fighting spirit is always valued and it's even an important factor for success at school.

Yamato, a second year student from Kawakami Highchool is always with his close friends (4 boys and 3 girls). They have all known each other since they were young and have done many things together. While they have many other friends, this group of seven is a close-knit, inseparable group. They even have a secret base where they meet.

With the new semester, they welcome two girls into their group and shortly after things begin to change...

LOL True, but you can always hope that the Animation will surpass your Expectations. There are many New Animes whose Manga is much Better.

Also, I wonder if anyone else was struck by the odd juxtaposition between the synopsis of Blood Lad and that image which I'm assuming is from the manga? I mean, it states that he has "little interest" in human blood yet that image has him quite enthusiastically licking some girl's (Fuymi's?) shoulder/bra strap. To me that definitely seems to suggest otherwise :D So I'm not really sure what vibe I'm supposed to be getting from it.

For those who have read it, what's the genre supposed to be?

LOL True, but you can always hope that the Animation will surpass your Expectations. There are many New Animes whose Manga is much Better.

There has been maybe 2 anime that have ever surpassed my expectations, usually they end up riding way below them. And for the most part every single new anime has had a better manga because they try to force a 50+ chapter manga (so far anyway) in 12 episodes and fail horrible and this makes me contemplate blowing them up... And even worse when they censor the anime... ugh... anime industry hates me.

About the Licking part. That wasn't shown in the Manga. That's just a Random Art, or a Cover of a Volume. And yeah, it's good, more on the Comdey-Supernatural Part~

edit: @ vipy1 - true,they have been releasing tons of 12 eps. animes and even cut(or edit) the story short for that. it'seems they are going for releasing more new titles than going for a few good long-run animes. there's definitely a change on how they serialize animes now.
this manga only have a few chaps. maybe that is why they made an anime adaptation. oh...now i hope the manga/story won't be cut short because of the anime. >_<

I also hope that they will adopt it like a 1 arc route and hoping they will produce some ovas for the other heroines. That's what I'm hoping too. Cause eventually, I get the feeling that the Anime itself will lacked to produce these events making it boring~ and I still hope it's following the Prologue lol~
