It depends on the capabilities of your netbook and its specs. A decent netbook can play emulator games and other games that aren't quite demanding on your computer. Netbooks aren't for serious gaming, so if you want to play games that need a lot of power to process, I suggest saving up for a gaming laptop/PC, or at least one that has some fairly decent specs.

Just my two cents.

You can mostly play minigames if its a netbook.

Hmmm if your netbook is running on Win XP I can immagine some of the specs and I think the following games might work:
The Sims 1
Any Popcap Games (bejeweled, atomica, zuma etc...)
Plants Vs Zombies(is also a popcap game)
red alert 1 and 2
starcraft 1
Emulator Games(Old ones...I dunno if it can handle ps1 emulators...pretty sure gba and below would work)
diablo 2 could probably work as well if you want an rpg game

Some of the smaller indie style games on Steam should work on it as well.
I usually look at whatever catches my eye then see if it's requirements match your netbooks abilities.

Try diablo as well and I've heard once that someone played League of Legends on one, not sure how accurate it was but you can try it too

Since its a netbook, I understand that it lags in some games.
You can play Plants vs Zombies, Starcraft, DTX drum mania, And Call of duty. Kidding /heh

hmm netbook can do something for games just set the game for low settings because the netbook only use the build in video card like Intel Graphics and it's sucks and if you are lucky to get at least Nvidia Ion or AMD it can play videos like 1080p full hd, visual novels will do because it's not into a graphics type, for emulators i think it's GBA and DS type and for some games most of them flash games and yahoo games for the downloads try using Google search ^^

I mainly play older games like Doom, Diablo, Quake, C&C, etc. on my netbook. And also; a lot of games using emulators.
Just check out some websites dedicated to "classic" computer/video games, and you will undoubtedly find some really good stuff. :)

Stick to angry birds. Its fun and yet entertaining! lol Netbooks has a limited power to run a massive game, you can only play old games which has the minimum requirements.

hmmm, here's a list of games i have on my craptop (yes i call it that because its crap)

Touhou - a must have if youre into masochistic shoot em ups
Battle for Wesnoth - a free turn based strategy RPG, ate quite a lot of hours from me
Battle Moon Wars - a doujin soft game, a fun tactical RPG, it has quite a character roster in it, i posted links to this game in the applications forum if youre interested
Chantelise - A fun action RPG, a bit hard though, the links are in my signature
Recettear - an extremely addicting shop sim / rpg, links are also in my siggie
Desktop dungeons - a compact but very enjoyable 10 minute dungeon, each level is randomly generated so it provides a different experience every time you play, as you play you get to unlock more classes and monsters which is really cool. the best of all is its FREE (http://www.desktopdungeons.net/?page_id=11)
Bookworm Adventures deluxe 1 and 2 - a fun word game with an RPGish sort of feel to it

if your computer can handle 3d games, you should try:
Deus Ex - possibly the best game ever made, just take my word for it. its a hybrid fps/rpg. plus you can upgrade your character with awesome nano-augmented implants. very cool game :D
System Shock 2 - another fps/rpg hybrid, system shock is cyberpunk + survival horror. battle the infested crew of the Von Braun in this awesome game!

I have a lot more games under my belt but i think its fine if i show you the best, enjoy :D
