View Full Version : Different ways of gaming...?

Well, or so I overheard that lots of people are complaining about how other races, foreigners and those of different nationalities play games.

For example, pokemon.

Most americans (Or so I heard) just buff up their main pokemon and tank through the whole game with just one pokemon.

While asians (perferabbly japanese, or so I heard) balance levelling between their pokemon in however strategy they think is good.

And Europeans (or so I heard) skill up their pokemon with different tm's/hm's and even stone evolutions as well as reproduction and actually care about the nature and personalities of pokemon since that affects a certain move.

Then we'll put it in a more simpler way...

People who call themselves pro, spammers and noobs. Let's use S4 as an example.

So now the pro knows all the jumps and everything and can hit with a single bullet handgun.

So the spammer has no mercy and has no time to watch the pro jump so he shoots the pro before he even performs the jump.

Noobs, just can't win because they want the game to go their way.

Noobs and spammers complain about the pro camping snipers. While the pros complain about how spammers and noobs keep spamming and is a noob.

Then here comes a foreign guy who plays like a pro but his item set are for noobs and thus people call him a noob even though he's on top of the score list with the least deaths.

Why do pros have to show off by using a frick'n handgun anyway?

Why do pros complain whenever I (as a spammer) have a good aim with my dagger for a 1 hit kill?

Why do noobs try to copy what pros do when pros piss them off more than ever?

As a spammer idk whether what it is people would ask about us.

Anyway, that's it...

Type down your reactions or whatnot.

There are two types of gaming: competitive gaming and gaming for fun.

Competitive gaming is where you think up of plans, develop skills and research various techniques to destroy the opposing side and turn them to dust and usually not even satisfied with that. Winning is everything.

Gaming for fun like it says, you play just for the sake of sating your boredom. You don't take battles too seriously and you don't really care if you win or not as long as you find it fun.

and as for your questions:

Why do pros have to show off by using a frick'n handgun anyway?
Maybe they're just want to see if they can win with minimal equipment or they're just trying to show off

Why do pros complain whenever I (as a spammer) have a good aim with my dagger for a 1 hit kill?
They're not pros, they are noobs. Just like you said, the game doesn't go their way so they complain.

Why do noobs try to copy what pros do when pros piss them off more than ever?
Maybe they are amazed on what pros can do so they try to copy it and failed or they want to prove that they can do it too and possibly be better but again, they utterly failed.

As a spammer idk whether what it is people would ask about us.
I don't play S4 but I'm also a spammer. People often complain about how we play. But really, the game gives us a lot of ammo that replenish whenever we respawn (if not infinite), so what's stopping us from blasting away?

Why do pros have to show off by using a frick'n handgun anyway?
Maybe because it's more fun than trying to pull off a 1 hit kill?

Why do pros complain whenever I (as a spammer) have a good aim with my dagger for a 1 hit kill?
Because it's effortless all you have to do is jump around and strike.

Why do noobs try to copy what pros do when pros piss them off more than ever?
Noobs will do anything for an easy way even google for hacks.

And you can't categorize someone by his/her nationality, everyone plays a game however they feel comfortable... you like a dagger, play with a dagger but the fact still remains that it's an easy way to score a kill.

I must fundamentally disagree with the generalizations you put forth about pokemon. Only 5-11 year olds play how you define the "American Way", I believe this is more or less the same in every country. As for the "Asian Way", that is only logical and most people do that. And your "European Way" is only done by the Hardcore gamer, regardless of the country. In addition, the "European Way" can only be practically done post game, as getting the correct EVs and IVs in addition to other factors, can only practically be done post game.

In regards to pros and noobs. If a pro really is a pro, then he should be able to handle spammers and noobs. Camping is bad manners, although there is the fine line between being good and just camping.

All i know if one of my friends if he dies in a game EVERYTHING is against him....literaly its everything and everyones fault but his. exapmle time: character didnt move, stuck on wall, grenade followed him, bullets through walls-around corners, dies by nothing to name a few but all of this is never his fault....so that would make him a noob wouldnt it?

Hope I can answer some of your questions:

Why do pros have to show off by using a frick'n handgun anyway?
Most of the time this acts a preemptive strike before pulling out the big guns so as to say. It's just some of them doesn't live long enough for pros to pull out the big guns. Other times, pulling out a side arm( I'm going to generalize it to side arms) are faster than reloading your main weapon and believe it or not more accurate than most automatic weapons and faster than most precision/single-shot weapons.

Why do pros complain whenever I (as a spammer) have a good aim with my dagger for a 1 hit kill?
I think they complain because you're a spammer. Spammer are universally frowned upon by competitive gamers. If that's not the case, they're just a bunch of whiny little kids.

Why do noobs try to copy what pros do when pros piss them off more than ever?
Exactly as you said, they're noobs (btw, noobs are different from newbs). No matter how long a noob has played a game, he will always be a noob. And so to remove himself from that stigma, he will copy the "pros". But alas, they will never be that's why they're angry at the pros.

As a spammer idk whether what it is people would ask about us.
Spammers are frowned upon competitive gameplay. But if you're friends are THAT bored, why not?
