This has been discussed in the OS ranks thread but. If you are to solely depend on the support of people donating..(meaning no adds) assuming that counter that appears when u click "forums" is real and the mark is $150 amonth..
then i would like to suggest a couple quirks to instigate a new or "continuing" contribution.
it would be cool for VIPs to have like "VIP ranks" like.. past a donation mark you would become a "VIP Citizen" .. and then a rank up to "OS Crusader" or something @_@/
in the sense that someone donating $5 gets the same rank as someone that has given $30 then doesnt seem to b much different from junior members o.oa..
like would b kick ass if it was like a pale blue and it would become darker and brighter as the amount of donation increases =o

on another note..
im sure the admin side of the house must have noticed this but.. based on the apperance rate of "the blue names" and their profile info.. then it is safe to say. the majority of the donators come from the pool of people that were looking for an obscure anime title that no other site was streaming at the time, and the design and welcoming atmosphere of the site was wat made them go "whOMG this guys are incredible!, heres $10"
so.. to those who have seen something they were looking for, and decided to donate.. its a little hard to put it in effect, and with bandwith conciderations but. there should be like.. maybe a donator tab when streaming.. something that design wise would be more interactive or appealing to those who understand or appreciate the efforts of others.
my sister is a designer.. if this sounds like a good idea at all.. i could come up with some ideas..
*sidenote* it is a little unrealistic to think that a "kid" asking an adult
kid:"dad can u help me pay for the monthly MMO fee so i can play the game?" father:"what are ur grades?"
kid:" A+"
father:"ok ill pay it, and keep doing so if u keep being good.. now fetch me my chardines and rub my belly"
wwith this kind of scenario will be able to really donate to a site even if they have every intention of doing so?
Kid: "dad i wanna help these guys out.. aside from my games, food, and hospital-life support equipment.. i want to help these guys keep this website running. it really is my DIEING WISH! (15 years old >_>)

kid: *passes out*
dad: " if you spent half your energy to think about your future rather than the future of others, this wouldnt have to happen so often -_-"
