Warning: Spoilers ahead~ if you haven't watched clannad AND afterstory you've been warned...

Just like the title says..for you what moment or scene in clannad made you cry or sad the most or the one that touched you the most?

Mine was the the ending of the kotomi arc...when the suitcase had a teddy bear instead of the thesis papers...and also the scene when ushio and tomoya cried~

I did cry when nagisa died(actually thats where I really only cried) but the 2 others that I mentioned made me more emotional though...

I entirely agree, i dont think there was any sadder part than that :(. Because of that scene, clannad will always remain to me as one of my favorite yet saddening animes ive ever watched :(.

This anime is the first one that make a tear drop from my eye so do not expect a good response on my part.

The most emotional part of clannad for me would be on ~after strory~ would be the part where nagisa died.

My favorite most EMOTIONAL parts of clannad would be these:

*Fuko's arc, especially the last part of the wedding.
http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af180/shobe9/shot0028.png
*In the Kotomi arc, the part where Kotomi received the teddy bear.
http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af180/shobe9/shot0029.png
*The part where Ushio lost the first toy that Tomoya ever gave her.
http://i1005.photobucket.com/albums/af180/shobe9/shot0026.png
*The part where Tomoya, together with Ushio, reminisce all of the memories of Nagisa when she
was still alive.

The saddest part was when Ushio wants to know about her Mommy Nagisa..and when Tomoya tells her about Nagisa..he then visualizes the past when they were still at school.. DAMN THAT PART GOT ME TEARY EYED!! XD:touched:

Train scene with Tomoya and Ushio.. look like we're all the same

If I had to choose a sad part, it'd be somewhere in the Fuko Ibuki arc... Just putting yourself in the place of any of the characters... And I thought I'd almost cry when Sunohara got really upset, saying he almost remembered, but he couldn't, and they all got really upset about it.. Heck, I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it while I type. XD

Edit: EEEK!? What is this all about Ushio! I must've missed something... I didn't see one after story, and I forgot there was a movie. :( Now I gotta watch those in a few days! D:

The train scene with Tomoya and Ushio, and reminiscing about Nagisa.

It has to be Tomoya making up to Ushio about the toy. That followed by Ushio's death.

Maybe because it was spoiled for me, but I was well aware that Nagisa was going to die, so I was prepared for that, thus it didn't affect me as much. The first season wasn't very sad for me too.

The ending. You see this horribly tragic end to Ushio and her father, then they retcon them using a plot device that wasn't ever fully explained.

That just really pissed me off. Suddenly ever bit of drama is brutally murdered and Fuko also comes back to life.

Never watched the After Story, so instead I had a friend spoil it for me. I did watch Clannad though. The saddest part I thought was when Kotomi finally got the bear.

For me, definitely when ushio died. So sad after all that Tomoya had been through!

Second is definitely kotomi arc end. Sad, but a different kind of sad.

some tears after Fuko Arc, I somehow Cried after Kotomi Arc, and the Cultural Festival made me shed tears....

but the one that really made me cry was After Story Episode 18 and 19, and when Nagisa and Ushio Died

When Nagisa died. And when Ushio was walking in the grass area finding the robot.

It would seem that I'm one of the few people who actually wasn't upset when Nagisa died :/ Of course that's not to say it wasn't tragic. It certainly was, it just wasn't unexpected. Nor was I horribly upset when Ushio died either for some reason (perhaps because I wasn't able to identify that well with her?). I think my mind wasn't fully invested in either scene because I knew that something would happen to bring them back before all was said and done.

Now, I did get a bit choked up during the wedding scene at the end of Fuuko's arc. That scene was brilliantly executed: the combination of joy and sorrow was perfectly mixed. I was actually surprised by how much it got to me. It didn't make me cry, but I'll admit that my eyes did get a bit watery ^_^

Another scene that affected me was when Tomoya took Ushio to visit his father. I think the reason this scene struck me is that I've passed adolescence and reached the part of my life where I fully realize and appreciate all that my parents have done for me. I was able to identify quite well with what Tomoya was feeling at that moment. Also, I can remember certain times from my own childhood when I was in a position akin to Ushio's. So I remember what it was like to be present during emotionally charged moments between my elders and realizing that something important was happening, but not unable to truly comprehend what was going on.

The sad part for me is the fuko arc. It's so sad when fuko disappeared but it was so funny when she came back. The scene that make my eyes a little watery is the train scene. And also when tomoya sang the big dango family to ushio, it showed a little flashback about nagisa.

First,=_= When Tomoya and Youhei Fight because of Mei. When Youhei said "I thought it would be Fine if its you!" I started crying. >.> Then Tomoya was shocked like he didn't move and Youhei had the chance to punch him.

Second is when Tomoya and Ushio have their bonds. And Ushio doesn't want another robot toy because the one that his father gave him is all she wants. >.> When Ushio ran and cried to the bathroom and Tomoya followed her. Then she mentioned the place where to cry that Sanae told her. ~_~

Third, When Nagisa Died. =_= Then, Ushio died and then the another world got destroyed and Tomoya woke up he saw Nagisa in front of him giving birth of Ushio again. Sad to Happy Moment. XD

Can't Pick. Its the best. =_=

The saddest part for me was inside the train, returning from the trip, when Tomoya talked to Ushio about Nagisa for the first time...
[Episode 18= The End of the Earth]

Mine was the the ending of the kotomi arc...when the suitcase had a teddy bear instead of the thesis papers...
YEAH~ I really cried on that part!!! I really felt the parent-child love~ I was really touched by how Kotomi's parents proved their love even in the ends of their lives.

AND for the Afterstory, I think I cried half of it's episodes. Starting on episode 16, when Nagisa died, and up until the last episode -- I really CRIED. I just felt their pain on loosing someone that you love, and can't move on because you kept on remembering that person~

★ when Nagisa died and Tomoya was really hopeless by that time, showing their baby to Nagisa & begging for Nagisa to wake up.

★ when Tomoya realizes how his father love him so. AND when he knows that his the one at mistake... ignoring his father all this time. THOUGH Tomoya really loves his father.

★ when Ushio finally tells how she feels towards her father, Tomoya. The Father's-Shoulder-Cry Thingy and the time when she told Tomoya that the robot that he gives to her was precious because that's the first toy he bought for Ushio.

★ when Tomoya keeps on remembering Nagisa. There are tons of parts of it. :)

★ when Ushio insisted to go on a trip again. It's the part where they walked outside on that snowy day~ Ushio collapsed and Tomoya was being hopeless, calling out someone for help.

★ AND many more...
I REALLY CAN'T HELP IT, my tears won't just stop~

I agree. The episode wherein Tomoya and Ushio went to that place until they were in the train was like the best.

The saddest part in my opinion is when ushio died, and all the scenes of her in poor health leading up to that moment. I was really sad when Nagisa died, and even had a few tears, but when Ushio died too... it really hit me. I can't think of anything worse in the whole world than for a parent to have to bury their child. Honestly, when it comes to the first season, I didn't find anything to be THAT upsetting. At least nothing actually brought tears to my eyes.
I never thought I'd be so happy to see such a cop-out than I was at the end of the second season.

Reviving this...

Moment when Kotomi gets bear.... And when Fuko disappears...

And in After Story...

When Nagisa dies, and when Ushio dies and Tomoya collapses... But happy ending pulled me out of saddest part of my life...

In the afterstory when Tomoya and Ushio is in field looking for the toy robot then Tomoya apologize to Ushio for being not their for her and they make-up. I cried of happiness in that scene. When the two started crying together more tears are falling from my eyes.
