but since every1 is sort of "contributing their jmusic stash" does that mean what the suggestion is asking for is an "active library" for ppl to upload songs? wiki-like?

Hi there all of you requesting for Anime music. Actually OS has an "OS radio" that plays 24 hrs of anime music but we cant link it and make it available to all members as it would take up too much bandwidth and get us kicked out by our host as we are using shared hosts at present.
The day we can afford a dedicated host (which doesn't look like its going to happen in the near future) then within minutes Jim can link the radio for all to access.

So for the moment ... accept our humble apologies as we have poured in as much of our private funds into this site as possible and are barely surviving as it is :2:

Can an active library could really be considered if the problem is too much bandwidth?

yes, it does hav a radio , but it can't link, I think the radio station is better than bundles of Jmusic,but we can upload jsongs too ^^ . That's for JB n Chivi to decide ^^ . n yeh , as K says, funds are a problem , wish i cud help, ><

Actually if you guys are just looking to download some anime music a great site is gendou.com (http://gendou.com/), one has to sign up (like OS) and then have access to the largest selection of Anime openings and Ending themes I have ever come across on the net.

but what we want is an ultimate Anime site where we can do everything....
listen to anime music, read manga, look to Anime sketches etc. all in one site.

I understand the difficulty both financial and technical.
But I'am merely suggesting..
And I hope OTAKU will be that site in the near future.

indeed.. but as much as i support this place, im worried enough as it is about some of this anime titles being copyrighted. and having one of the publishing agencies shut these guys out.. if streaming is not only enough a problem at that.. adding more and more content as such is also a bigger load for admins to handle. "managing the site to keep it afloat is their mission, improving it is their hobby"

Hii hii, i also totally agree... we should get some music in here but may i think it would be great to have other asian music like Girls Genration(SNSD) which is a korean group consisting of 9 girls... yes their great because there is 9 cute girls but their songs are also good like their song called "Gee"...
