Angel Beats! 2nd season

since the last release of the angel beats season 1, a prequel of the series came out.
Angel Beats Special: Another Epilogue .
in the first part of the OVA (a 3 minutes prequel), after all the last members of afterlife battlefront disappeared it seems that one of the
protagonist of the series was left to become head of the student council "Yuzuru Otonashi",
then after that it's still a complete blank about what lays ahead of the story.
then it seems i found out that there would some how be a continuation to the series that will be released on spring of 2011, though a lot was still skeptical of the released date, a lot of us is really looking forward of the release of the 2nd season.
though you might think that it is not possible that it will be released sooner since the re-post of the latest visual guides for the upcoming animes for 2011, but fear not, the spirits are up for the release of the 2nd season of angel beats..

I've just finished watching the last episode, I honestly didn't like it one bit. What I hope for is that they do end up meeting up in life, the protagonist being alone in that school for another season doesn't interest me at all. What I also hope for is that all the characters do end up being in the second season, it wouldn't be Angel Beats! if TK or Kanade isn't in there. :D

Guys, don't forget that this hasn't actually been confirmed yet, so don't get your hopes up too high. I just checked the main site, and it doesn't say anything about a second season.

Though, I'd love a new season.

I highly doubt there will be a second season. I personally don't want there to be another season because the first was so deeply flawed. I would prefer that the writer and director focus on a new project. Hopefully one that makes a little more sense and isn't riddled with plot holes :/

After all, the story has ended whether the audience likes it or not. To have a second season the writers would have to forsake everything that happened in the first season, or develop an entirely new storyline in which the original characters would only be bit players.

While it IS confirmed that there will be an OVA called "Another Epilogue," there is no news and/or proof of a second season in the works. This is all speculation at most. Please do not give false hope without solid evidence to backup such claims as it will only let people down if you're wrong.
