what do you want to bring with you to survive the new and always updating otaku world inspite you are on a remote region with no electricity and just coconuts

my suggestion would be a car charger for a laptop and a psp (with the laptop and psp of course)

and a car with a truck load of batteries! lol

If I were trapped on a remote island the last thing I would think about is how I'm going to survive without watching anime/reading manga for six months, haha. I would be more inclined to care about my personal well-being so that I could stay alive long enough to return to the comfort and safety of my home...so that I can watch anime/read manga again :D

I would need the following five items to endure a six month stint on a remote island:

1. Fishing rod and tackle so that I can live off the land until I'm rescued.
2. Chapstick/Blistex because, well, I'm a woman and I hate when my lips are chapped :D
3. A Bowie knife or other substantial blade for both protection and practical uses such as food preparation.
5. One Echo 1 Cuben Fiber Shelter System for protection from the elements.
4. GPS-enabled tracking device with built-in locator chip so that others can be made aware of my situation and thus rescue me with all haste.

Well first of all I'd need to know what type of island we were talking about. Trees, inland rivers/lakes, wildlife etc. If we do it like the movies though, and it's a tropical island, then:

1. Knife
2. First Aid Kit
3. Toothbrush
4. GPS/Compass
5. My boyfriend/girlfriend providing I had one at the time which with my luck..

Which is why!

5 (Alternate). A lighter.

With the knife I'd hunt, build shelter and build a raft.
First Aid Kit won't last forever but it'll help, especially for cleaning any cuts I may have after arriving on the island.
Toothbrush for brushing my teeth... Even if there's no toothpaste, I absolutely hate running my tongue along my teeth and not feeling complete smoothness.
GPS for finding which direction to go once my raft is ready.
Boyfriend for emotional support, physical needs and hopefully to do most of the manual labor.
-and if not a boyfriend-
Lighter because I simply don't want to do the whole flint and tinder thing.

Not very Otakuish, but the goal is to get home and spend the next year feigning post-traumatic stress to stay in bed all day and play games/watch anime.
