Manga first?

Do you think one should read the manga before the anime, or watch the anime before the manga?
Or will doing one ruin the experience of the other?

I would say it doesnt matter.
In my opinion: reading manga 1st could give u more imagination then u watch anime and u will know how did it happen.
But I watch anime because if I love the animation I would MOSTLY love the manga.

I feel like reading a manga and then watching the anime after could ruin how you imagined the manga to be... due to the fact that the manga is usually better than the anime~

I watch the anime AND THEN read the manga. I don't like being disappointed!

(This may come off terribly but I used to be a Twihard... yes, a HUGE Twilight fan. When the movies came out, you can NOT imagine how pissed I was. Therefore, I always watch the anime first AND THEN read the manga so I can be happy in the end, lmaaao.)

Yeah, that seems like a good way i guess.
I would say a good time to read manga first is in a series where the episode hasn't been created yet.

I like watching animations for the music as well.

yeah, I agree with all of you guys, I feel like reading manga first than watching anime so we will know what will happen so It's just like a movie and a book, I read the book first before I watch a movie like hmm.....Harry Potter!! XD

It depends on the animation or on the manga.

There are manga which are more amazing on the anime and the other way around.

But then, if you just wanna know the story, it doesn't matter which is first to do.

If you watch anime first you might be too lazy to read manga or vice versa. I read manga first because I know I can't stand reading what I already know (lol studying + reviewing IRL)

I used to only watch anime back when I was a kid due to the lack of interest in reading.
but now I see that reading the manga first can give you the advantage in imagination and in spoilers.

I usually recommend my friends to read the manga first but different people desire different things including taking different ways of being an otaku.

i like reading the manga after i watched all the episodes so then you can kind of imagine how certain things will happen later on

Its really rare to find an anime better than the manga so I find it better ot watch the anime first then read the manga whereas if you do it the otherway round you're likely to be dissapointed!
But then again there was people who prefer to read the manga first then watch the anime just to see how its animated or what the voices are like

Most Manga contains more information than the actual anime adaptation. I'll go with Manga, but I have to say, I prefer watching the anime, since its moving and is colorful... ...

I think I'm one of the few who don't like to draw comparisons between the manga and anime of any given show. They are entirely different mediums (obviously) and I do my best to think of them as such. For this reason I can't say that I've ever felt disappointed by an anime adaptation of a manga. However, I do prefer to read the manga of a show first if I'm aware it exists simply because I enjoy imagining how a particular scene would look animated. I do the same thing with books and live-action movies ^.^

i think you should read the manga and watch the anime for you to imagine first whats the action or how the character in the manga acts

i do both lol depending on what i feel like but its always 1 after the other without anything in-between so i dont get confused with something else but usually one will make me want to read or watch the other XD

I like to watch the anime first, and then the manga but it makes more sense to read the manga then watch the anime. I might start to do that >_>

I'll go with the Animes First then the Manga later, cause the manga is always leading than the Anime xD

for me I do it both especially long running once I watch the anime first then follow up the manga if it is not long running anime then I would immediately watch the anime.

i think doing one ruins the other, so i say if you cant wait for the anime then read the manga but if you prefer a visual and you can wait then watch the anime very simple to me
