I'll be going by Underworld's version thank you very much >.> Im going for the simple fact that unlike Werewolves, who usually need the moon to transform into something powerful, Vampires, as long as they are kept out of the sun, always have their enhanced reflexes, strength, and in some cases flight...although that one makes them ugly...not to mention a simple diet, conisisting of only blood. No need to go all cannibal on anything like werewolves do :P........and wtf, Twilight? >.>

Well then just to be different I pick werewolves..As a werewolf you are free to see the light of day (huge plus there), you are stronger, dang fast (though not as fast as a vamp.), and as far as your diet...you dont care what you eat..you just go wild and your dang hard to kill.

Now sure you are uglier then (insert something horrible here). And of course your uncivilized (though in underworld they werent too bad)

But overall you dont care about much other then enjoying yourself.

Werewolves.

I wont speak of traditional weak points in any of both because now werewolves can transform whenever they want and keep being themselves when they do it and vampires now are immune to things like garlic, crosses... even sunlight can't harm them now, some times they even sparkle o.O

Anyway, leaving those "old fashion" weak points, I like more the concept of a human turning into a beast with it's instincts, strength and senses than just someone strong, fast and with a drinking problem XD

I would have to say vampires for a few reasons; 1) My parents are transylvanian hahhah 2) They're always powerful unlike werewolves (full moon) 3) Better looking and seductive and not so hairy :P 4) Vampire movies, shows, books are more entertaining 5) If youve ever read laurell k hamilton's anita blake series <3 youll know that sometimes werewolves are whiny little b------. :)

Hmm this is a tough one. I am a big fan of both but I'll have to go with Vampires for the sheer fact that they can at least retain themselves and still have power. Whereas werewolves, although crazy strong and basically indestructible(no silver=no wound) completely lose control. Besides I love both Arcueid from Tsukihime and Seras Victoria from Hellsing hahaha so I guess I am also a bit biased.

I won't be using twilight OR hellsing because I don't really care or not care about either of them. I've not watched Hellsing, but I have watched Twilight (it was okay, but I dont really care too much about it).


I prefer vampires in general, almost every book I've read involving vampires was really interesting, while I have only found two books featuring werewolves that really held my interest (one of the books was Blood and Chocolate. Very well written book.)

Vampires. They look good and most of them has this past-- where I feel different emotions. I have watched a lot of Vampire movies-- reading one vampire book series, Watched few vampire animes, and read a vampire manga. And I barely saw shows that has werewolves in them. Vampires are just.. too cool for me. Words can not express it all, But if you were in my state-- currently reading a vampire book series-- you will, or might feel the same way. Btw, I do not think Twilight was bad. Realized that after some time. That is just my opinion.

Werewolf for me. Vampires are always weird and erotic O.o Yea they have flashy moves and clothes and such but can't you just dress flashy when your in human form as a werewolf? I think Vampires are better than werewolves. In every movies, anime, mangas, and books with such genre of horror, supernatural, etc. vampires are the very core of any it. I mean, they are almost perfect being and great in any aspects.

First of all both vamps and w.wolves are forces of nature or in some cases are said to be "Evolutions" of man. Bats, Wolves and Man all came from the same marsupial ancestor. If a mouse can evolve to a bat and some dogs evolve to different kinds of dogs... then man can also evolve to the same gene pool of any mammal since we all came from the same mammal ancestor.

Now if we are basing this vamp versus wolves from crypto and real mytho... then Wolves owns vamp by a large margin. Ironically Vamps gets more publicity than wolves because of their hype but both are just form of lycanism. Although Vamps are a bit off the lycanism part. Anyway when people hear thw word Werewolf they actually think its transforming into this human like dog or a real wolf, but in reality Lycanthropy can also be said to have the ability of a certain animal (yes not only wolves but animals such as Bears and Large cats) as a transformation. the actual transformation of human to animals is called Zoanthropy or Therianthropy. But since we are talking about werewolves here that are majorly associated with Lycanthropy, It only means they have the "Strenght and abilities" of the wolf species. As of the Vamp class... As I said their are just like the werewolves... Ability of a Bat or Desmodus rotundus. This will explain why vamps are always pictured with harems because Desmodus rotundus has more females in their colonies or to make it simple... They have their own harem. Vamps has the ability of the bats so they are very agile and a recent study found that common vampire bat can, in addition to walk, run at speeds of up to 7.9 km per hour (4.9 miles per hour). They locate a suitable place to bite using their infrared sensors. They then create a small incision with their teeth and lap up blood from the wound. So if abilities are concern Vamps has this. But if compared to an ability of a wolf... Then we practically know who will win in a fight... Wolf eats Bat. So I go for Werewolves.

Actually about Wolf Eats Bat... It's pretty simple really if you look at it in the basic structure of those two. In Cryptozoology the study of such things as Vamps and Wolves, scientist tend to stick on a more realistic way of looking at things. So if you try Blowing up a vampire bat the size of a man, You will still end-up with a big bat with the same weaknesses as an Ordinary bat. Bats have poor leg power but has strong arms due to the fact that nature made it this way in order for them to take flight. Also their bones are hollow making them light and unsuitable for combat. They have poor sight so instead they rely on their built in radar that nature give them in order to feed. Another thing is even if you buffed up their size, A Bat's bite force isn't that much (you can use math for this or physics for that mater) simply because they have in them a saliva that acts like a tranquilizer. Lastly Bats aren't really that much Agile to begin with. Now Compare it to a Wolf. A typical wolf can out power a grown man in a fight (Provided no weapon is used). Now Imagine make a Wolf the size of a man. Now I don't have to tell you how terrible that will be right?

As for your argument about "Silver"... Let me Humor you then...

Werewolves Weakness:

Silver~ To be exact Silver weapon Struck at Their heart or in their Brain... Yep If not in the heart then they will just be injured and will not regenerate the part that has been hit unless the silver was moved, Hence Silver Bullets are your best friend.

Vampires Weaknesses:

Sunlight
Anything Holy Like Crosses, Sacred Grounds Holy water
Garlic
A stick or any sharp thing to their heart

Oh... you should really re-read what I said then you will find the things about the evolution stuff and why wolves win over vamps. Also if your trying to propose "Magic" as a means to buff up the vamps then you should also know that Wolf "Magic" is much powerful.

Finally even in movies (and myth) vamps is always incline with... Bats or their characteristics. Heck even in 20 days of nights vamps there showed bat like characteristics. You really can't separate a Vamp from a Bat... Hint "Vampire Bats"

Vampire keeping werewolves as pet/bodyguards is a very interesting topic...let see here.

Its good for a vampire to make a werewolves as their servant because werewolves are fast and strong and are able to protect their vampire master's from humans/vampire hunter's or any other supernatural creatures. But another reason a vampire would keep a werewolf as a pet would be keep a close eye on it after all werewolf are one the only creatures that could kill a vampire. So in that case vampire take in young werewolf pup to raise them from scratch. But sometime werewolves can turn on their vampire master's and well the experience is fatal. So sometime vampire's would kill off their werewolf servant while they are still in their teen years before they grow stronger and turn on them and replace them with a new werewolf.

I mean werewolves don't have brains like vampires but they don't need to think, there crazy animal reflex are an equal.
& if I'm correct vampires are weak against garlic & stake through the heart, well werewolves are weak only against a silver projectile or a sword. So basically, it's easy to ward off vampires well werewolves would take a one-on-one scenario? (Just my opinion.) :blur:

Werewolves, be it which one would I want to be or which one would I want to date. Why? Well, first of all, sharp pointy things that draw blood freak me out, plus vampires are cold and undeadish. Werewolves are warmer and cuddly-er. And if you're assuming the version of the werewolves where the werewolves' wolf form is uncontrollable, then at least they have an excuse for killing people. It's just an uncontrollable feral instinct. Vampires are in control the whole time and could fight the urge to feed if they wanted to.

I Think it's a hard one.. on the one hand u can't see the sun anymore but on the other hand u get all hairy and lose your self (most cases)
