What anime made you scared to death when you watched it? EDIT:(since others are posting what anime they watched non-stop which made them sleepless, I'll add this) and what anime made you watch it non-stop?

For me Ghost Hunt. 2 days of sleepless nights. I watched it for 2 days (nights to be exact.) It was a Halloween special on the Philippines' anime channel.

It gave me nightmares when I first watched it, but in the end I got used to it.

It's Goshuushou sama Ninomiya kun. Man, this anime is really ecchi. Just like Kanokon. [Although Kanokon is extreme.]

Hmmmm ... I havent watched any anime that scared me as yet.

When I was very, very, young, my friend and I watched Friday the 13th secretly in the middle of the night (although we were told we couldn't coz we were too young) and that movie traumatised me (also I screamed in shock at the end, woke up my friend's parents and got the two of grounded for a month which was even more traumatising).

I have never anything with blood and guts thereafter, so I guess I will never have a name to post in this thread :4:

Blood-Soaked Maze is the most scariest episode in my opinion only, second is the Cursed House, while third is the Forbidden Game. :biggrin:

1. Kamen no Maid Guy - I can't sleep waiting for news about the second season.
2. Kanokon - I tried it earlier this morning. I streamed all of the episodes in one go. Waited for each and every episode to finish before I watch the first episode. Then after I finished the 1st episode... I closed all of the tabs and said... "OMG! I can't handle this!". It was too ECCHI, I think I won't be able to sleep.

If you talking about sleepless as in non-stop marathon watching - then for me it was Sayuki, Reload and Gunlock - 102 episodes in about 4 days, though I did sleep a bit in between and stop for food and toilet breaks XD

I saw that too! But the anime that made me lose sleep was Blood Plus, and for a totally different reason. It was just so lovely, tear-jerkin' ending and all, that I couldn't accept for a couple of nights that the fiftieth episode was THE end. Simply put, I wanted MOARRRRR!!!:emhh07:

I don't usually stop sleping to watch an animne, what I do is to wake up really early in the morning and stop until I either finish it or it got really really late. The only time I remember I almost didn't sleep at all was when I finished Blood+, in fact that time I was going to go to the beach and had to depart around 4 am and in order to finish it I ended up going to bed at 2:30 am

No anime has really made me 'sleepless' out of fear or scary dreams for MANY nights... I don't really search out scary shows at all, probably because of the first time I was caught off-guard by one on television. It was something totally not even meant to be scary, I can't even remember. Inuyasha!, that was it. But I was youngish and I had various mythical feudal-era demons in my head afterwards for a night or so. What's kinda funny is that sometime after that I was decently fond of inuyasha. I didn't watch it often, but if it popped up, I thought "Cool!" and stayed to check it out, maybe just for the sake of conquering my fear? If it even qualifies.
Wow, I had totally forgotten about that show. I'm gonna watch it soon! hahaha. :D

Definitely, Noein. Not because it was scary or anything like that. More like, it gave me a completely new view on life and I wanted to learn and see more. Every time I watched an episode and saw something else change and a new thing be discovered, I wanted to know if real life could ever possibly be that way. It made me want to watch more and more of the anime so I ended up not sleeping at all and just watching it for about 3 or 4 nights straight. That may not be considered as many but also include the fact that I didn't sleep or do anything except watch that anime all day too.

the anime that makes me sleepless at night is not horror... its Naruto Shippuuden that makes me sleepless. because it drives me insane.. haha! just kidding... i always thinking about what's possible episode that might happen

I also tend to avoid the "scary" as a rule... but when I was younger, there were a bunch of things that I would have seen as quite scary that would have stuck in my mind for days that now I just see as compelling yet normal entertainment. samurai champloo's bloodiness is one example of this.

IS: Infinite Stratos. After one character pulled a few stunts my girlfriend has pulled in the past, i was afraid to go to sleep. I thought Shiki might due something cruel like dye her hair silver, put on an eye patch, and begin calling me her wife.

I kid. Shiki wouldn't pull a prank in relation to an anime she also loathed. No, the anime that deprived me of sleep was Digimon Tamers. I've explained before that BioShock and F.E.A.R have left me with a fear of cute little girls, and for a week after watching a few dubbed episodes of Tamers on Hulu, i kept having this recurring nightmare where the pineapple-haired girl told Renamon to kill me. I won't go into further details other than saying that the dream would then progress to me working with Odafin Tutuola investigating my own death. I'll let you look up what type of crimes Tutuola would investigate.

I think Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Ken`ichi gave me some sleepless nights. I was a sucker for this martial art anime... lol Can't seem to stop watching when the hero keeps getting stronger and kicks the a$$es of the bad guys. Plus some cute scenes with the heroine Miu makes it irresistable xD

I'd actually say there were 2 anime. As a kid Digimon Tamers actually kept me sleepless for a few nights. Mostly because I kept dreaming of being in the digital world and instead of actually falling asleep sometimes I'd dream half-awake for quite awhile before actually falling asleep. The second one was clannad. After watching both seasons the anime kept me awake, dunno why but I just kept remembering those things that happened there and nothing in particular really, I just remembered some funny stuff then sometimes I look back at an arc etc etc...dunno why on clannad and not most anime though haha
