Amagami Game's Miya Tachibana Character Gets Video Anime

The official website for the Amagami SS romance anime series has confirmed on Friday that the anime's 13th Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume will contain the story arcs for the Risa Kamizaki and Miya Tachibana characters from Enterbrain's original Amagami game.

The two characters will each have her own ending theme song (to be named later), and the accompanying CDs will ship on January 19, 2011. Voice actress Mai Kadowaki had already revealed last month that Risa Kamizaki would get her arc in the anime. Miya is the younger sister of the main character Junichi Tachibana.

The Amagami SS television anime series has been running in Japan since July 1, but its 24 episodes will only showcase the game's six main characters. The anime's first 12 Blu-ray Disc/DVD volumes will include these episodes at two episodes per volume. The distributor Pony Canyon had also scheduled the 13th Blu-ray/DVD volume for April 20, 2011, and had not announced its contents until now

I don't think there gonna be an incest. Also, Hibiki Tsukahara is the swimming club captain not Risa so I bet Risa is a new character that was never been shown, so far, in the anime.

The fact that Miya gets an arc was somewhat a shock to me. Will the anime flip for her section and make her the main character? Or will they have an incest thing going on? Or perhaps it will be more of a Akane iro ni Somaru Saka type endeing where the main character picks his sister over all of the other girls, but it is left unspecified as to whether it will lead to something incestuous due to his physical attraction towards her or stay that of normal (albeit with sexual tension) brother and sister.

Though not much of a spoiler, for anyone wanting to know nothing at all about the character before watching her arc, I left a spoiler tag on it.
Risa is Junichi's secret, yandere stalker. She prevents the famous rejection many years ago since that girl was doing it for kicks.

I personally love the concept and execution of the Amagami SS anime. You get to see how each path plays out instead of the animation staff and studio picking only one heroine and trying to incorporate elements of the others' storylines into hers. I'm personally glad to see that it won't end at 24, but I have reservations about a Miya arc. Let's see how this plays out ^.^

It's essentially an OVA though it will be distributed with the DVD/BD releases of the anime, meaning it will be out faster than most OVA's. It will not be aired, so we won't get it until some fansub group gets their hands on the DVD/BD raws.
