So I've been thinking up a couple of original manga storylines, and this is one of the few I'm considering. It's called "We Of Noble Blood". Here is the concept idea and small character descriptions. Tell me if you like it ^.^ Or hate it... whatever :D
This story revolves around a group of young individuals from around the world who come to live in a Japanese consulate for the super wealthy and privileged. We follow their lives as they coexist with one another in a high society world of elegance and luxury... or so it seems.
Characters:
Alice >> English
The hot-tempered, bold and brash heiress to the Anderson Energy Corporation, and the daughter of Nathan Anderson, the largest energy tycoon in the world. She is a super genius and is quite aware of it. She is quite cute, but her charm is often overshadowed by her forcefulness. Her favorite hobby is playing chess. She often plays against the consulate's young butler, Sebastian. However, to her extreme disapproval, she has never once beaten him.
Nadeshiko >> Japanese
The "princess of Japan", Emperor Karasuma's precious only daughter. Even though she has only just bloomed into a teenage girl, she is beautiful, extremely kind, and very mature for her age. She is easily the youngest of the group, but that doesn't prevent the gentlemen from turning their heads. Though she loves her father dearly, she secretly holds a grudge against the royal family for not allowing her to claim her birthright to the throne because she is a female. Emperor Karasuma has placed her in the consulate to avoid complications while he supervises the upbringing of his nephew, the heir to the throne. Nadeshiko seems to understand this and claims "I will instead become twice as lovely a princess as any queen... a Yamato Nadeshiko"
Adelaide >> French
Bubbly and blond, she is the successor to the LaVelle fortune. Her parents are charismatic, noble ambassadors who travel frequently between allied nations and are held on high regard. They are even on a first name basis with the British and Japanese royal families. For this reason, Adelaide is already well acquainted with Nadeshiko. They have played together since they were children. Adelaide would often practice with Nadeshiko in Japanese Tea Ceremony, Noh Mai traditional dance and cooking lessons, though she often felt inferior to her, as Nadeshiko was much younger and more skilled. However, Adelaide has an exceptional singing voice, and prides herself on her ability to distinguish the difference between any pitch, no matter how minuscule. She also remembers people by the sound of their voices rather than their appearance, because she claims to have a horrible memory for faces.
Sebastian >> Greek
Sebastian comes from a line of very distinguished butlers. His entire family has been associated with the highest quality in noble service. Only 18 years old, Sebastian has already mastered his trade, and is currently serving the young masters and mistresses of the consulate. He is exceptionally intelligent, but he often hides it so as not to seem superior to his masters. Emperor Karasuma picked up on this early on and gave him permission to beat anyone he wishes in chess. Accepting this favor, Sebastian vows to never lose a game. Keeping his promise, he does not lose, even to the genius, Alice."
Evangelo >> Greek
(No Description Yet)
Fang Ling >> Chinese
Called "Ling" The son of The Chinese Emperor's head adviser. He is sarcastic and enjoys teasing people. He often feigns a fragile, sweet character, but quickly sniggers when others fall for it. He is not interested in most things, but he does have an incurable curiosity for girls. He often reports to Evangelo his "research", but Evangelo usually dismisses him as a closet pervert and says he is not interested in such things. Even as deceitful as Lian may seem, his intentions are usually pure. He later forms a unique friendship with the aloof Evangelo when he confesses to him his feelings for one of the girls.
Zurine >> Spanish
Called "Rin".She is the most graceful and beautiful of all the young girls at the convent. She is soft-spoken and polite. Zurine has a love for music and can play the piano very skillfully. She is originally of Japanese descent, but was adopted by the noble spanish family, De Cera. Even as an adopted heiress, she is treated as an equal because of her natural beauty, and elegance. However, her sharp mind and keen sense of judgement keeps her from trusting others easily. She has long white hair and always wears lovely white dresses; quite fitting when the Spanish name "Zurine" means "white".
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are also minor characters and physical descriptions, but I figured I'd just start off with this. What do you think?
