Highschool of the Dead
Manga is a billion times better...They over-emphasize the boob bouncing too much in the anime, its more annoying than anything.

I stopped watching Black God after 5 seconds because it was so different from the manga. If your gonna animate a manga, keep the same story, at least.

Well its not really based off a manga.... but season 2 of Haruhi Suzumiya completely destroyed and stretched that single chapter in the light novel. Most people probably haven't even read it and they know that its terrible!!

Soul Eater's ending was disappointing
To love Ru's ending was also disappointing, but so was the manga's ending. So glad season 2 is coming out soon.

Well, Rave Master was the only one that disappointed me not because of the ending but due to the fact that it didn't have an ending... T.T
The series was pretty good from the start. Even the manga was such an amazing sell-out.
The ending in the manga is fantastic, though I did wanted to see it in anime production... T.T
Maybe it'll get continued in the early future or when Fairy Tale ends.

There are a lot of manga's with an anime adaptation. Mostly having bad endings. Or even disappointing story line. If I have to include a particular anime on the list. It will be Ichigo 100%. Since the anime didn't even finish what the manga did. Watching the anime doesn't determine who the protagonist will end up with a particular girl. I was disappointed and curious as well during those times. So I decided to read the manga and founded out who he ended up with. I was really disappointed with the anime version and my money ain't worth it when I bought the DVD. The only thing thing was worth watching in that anime is the fan service. Despite that well its just preference I guess.

One that was really disappointing for me was Flame of Recca.
The anime ended after only the first major arc, so of course the ending greatly deviated from that of the manga. Plus, I think the anime was made much too early, since Nobuyuki Anzai's art style was too detailed for an anime adaptation in the 90s.

For me it would have to be claymore, totally changed the ending. So much so that they can't even do a second season of it because they got away from the manga to much

Two comes to mind, Ichigo 100% and Suzuka. The anime barely covers a quarter of what actually happens. Isn't that a shame.

Unfortunately most anime adaptions fail to meet up to the manga =_=
I watched getbackers thinking it was really good but then when I read the manga I relaised how crap the anime actually was esp the ending!
Skip beat anime doesn't do the manga justice either!
Claymore wasn't as bad but I don't like how they completely changed the ending just to end the series....ah theres just too many!

Bingo. What he said. I was actually daydreaming of the manga but when the anime came out I was like.....derp, lol.
In fact I'm forcing my friend who likes the anime to actually read the manga.

I agree. If I remember it correctly it is the chapter of endless eight. 24 pages is equals to 6 repeating episodes. How terrific hahahha.
I also disappointed to the ending of HunterxHunter since they did not finish the anime. I hope they create a new season or ovas for that anime.

Claymore totally change how it ends... Wish it could continue.
Air Gear may end up like Tenjo Tenge due to how the manga goes :(
Gantz and Kekaishi ended up stopping half-way too. Forced me to find and read the mangas.

You have a really good point there, I wonder why can't they just animate what the manga talks about... I have seen animes like D.Gray-man, whose manga is a tons of thousand times better than watching the series, and the ending sucked really hard for me... I kinda accept animes like Kimi ni Todoke because I know that there will be a second season, as for Skip Beat! the ending is also open-ended.
I hope the animators can make something like FMA: Brotherhood or something, which was absolutely filler-free and has a very satisfactory ending.

The anime Ayashi no Ceres did not live up to its manga counterpart in my opinion. While I love both, the manga spent a considerable amount of time fleshing out a wide variety of characters that the anime cut out. Also, the romance between Aya and Tooya was much better developed in the manga compared to the anime. I would recommend both to just about anyone, but I would advise them to read the manga first in order to gain a more satisfying experience from the anime ^.^

For me I guess it will be Negima!
