Well - if you breathe deeply through your nose while eating, the oxygen opens up your taste buds and food tastes better. Thats why you cant taste anything when you have a cold and wine connoisseurs smell the wine before drinking

Thats about all I know about the nose (and that one of my dogs is called Black nose - shortened to 'Nose' which causes a huge problem when she gets out and I have to run behind her on the road calling "Nose, Nose")

ill help with the power of SCIENCE the nose is in part of your vision also the light waves received by your eyes are upside down the brain regulates all this and then shifts our perception so that our feild of vision is from the back of the head. i know it sounds weird heres the fun part if you look at a black-body radiation chart of the sun youll notice that it peaks in the visible spectrum not at yellow but at green our mind differentiates better with shades of light colours and so our perception is shifted so that we see yellow if you dont believe me wiki it i found it hard to beleive at first too
