Um, i remember reading in Neo magazine that Ouran High School Host Club would air 2009 - But I haven't had this confirmed anywhere else...does this mean there is going to be a second series? Has anybody else heard about this?

K-on seems like a slam dunk, but really the spring line-up this year seems good...
however I still think it's to early to talk about which anime is going to be the hit of the year, we are still missing 3 seasons (summer, fall and winter)

But so far i haven't seen anything with skip beat potential, k-on is more like a mix between Toradora and Hykko in a ratio of 1:5.. it's fun and cute, but I doubt it will get to me in the same way as skip beat..

The one that definitely will have a good race for the best anime of the year currently is K-ON and Suzumiya Haruhi (ver. 2009).

I think K-On! will be the top anime this spring(sorry, I'm not sure about the whole year since there are more animes to come[just like what jadeliciousdk said there's more seasons to come]. xD)
And since summer is about to come(in other countries), I have news to all Yuri lovers. This summer(from what I heard) a new Yuri anime titled 'Sasameki Koto' will be released. I read the manga and so far the story is good but I'm not sure if the anime version will follow manga though.

I'd have to say that I have a few on my list that I do absolutely love.

Although.. the only thing I'm sorely disappointed in is FMA: Brotherhood. The only thing it's doing is rewinding from the first season and adding into it from the manga version. When the truth was... I was literally crossing my fingers, spitting in my hat and ready to swallow needles if they continued from when the Conqueror of Shambala was released and ended there. It would truly be amazing on what would happen then. At the same time, I'm willing to give it a chance to see if it'll impress me than it did the first time around.

Higashi no Eden... I absolutely adore the absolutely different storyline than anything I've ever seen and heard in my lifetime. The combination of both east and west worlds (Ep. 0 for starters.) really had my eyes leaking tears on how smooth it was. I'm looking forward to seeing what all develops. As for Takashi Akira.. I will admit.. I love that idiot.

The Shonen one.. I forgot the first half of it, but that reminds me too much of Yamamato no Shuichihenge aka "Wallflower". A little different maybe, but the thing is really too similar in character contrast. Five hot men, one damsel in *sort of* distress.

07-Ghost.. Very impressed. Nothing to state, since it made me speechless. *Actually weeped in the current episode. -le gasp-*

I was going to watch an interesting anime, but unfortunately due to horrid translations on the first episode, I detested it. No offense to the art and maker, but the translation was just too.. illiterate for me to like it. I'm sure it's a good story, but it does ruin it's potential due to bad translators. *shame on them*

Ha ha, same here, so it was a bit of a shock to me too on that notion.

I will admit.. I did see Lucky Star just on a whim, and it was cute to the point that my sides were hurting from laughing at Kotomi's naturality of an otaku and a hardcore gamer. You could say, I'm very close on knowing how that is, but.. never in a million years would I put odd stuff as career choices. So not sure if K-on would do the same.

Hate to admit though.. cute stuff does sucker me into things that really would seem bad.

Although.. Cho, I don't recall saying it is bad, it was just my own expectations seemed a bit too hopeful on how it was turning out.

K-On is great and all, but it seems a bit directionless right now.

I thought that a new member to the band would finally set them towards something great...but it seems that she is just as weak as the rest.

I hope K-On steps it up and surpasses expectations with an amazing ending.
