The "Like" Button

So I'm sitting in front of my computer, on Facebook. Then a notification pops up. I click on it: "**** likes ____"
Okay, I think in my mind. Aren't you just a damn lazy b*stard? Instead of clicking like, why don't you put an insightful comment down? I get a notification either way and I'd rather much like it if I had something to reply to.
Just on my instant messaging, I type this really insightful paragraph to someone and they respond with a "LOL!" Yes, because I can totally continue a conversation when all you do is laugh out loud.
Human beings are so silly. I'm glad I'm not considered one. LOL

I've realized just how pointless Facebook is a while ago. I used to yearn for those notifications, but then i realized just how meaningless it was. Who cares about you going to the mall?

I avoid saying LOL as much as I can. You're not the only one who thinks this. Take a look at UrbanDictionary's definition for LOL is.

WELL, I have a facebook account~!! AND I pretty much use facebook everyday.. WELL, it's my means of communication though.. AND I really don't bother if they just "Like" my status, picture or whatever it is -- RATHER, I am grateful that my post are being appreciated..

BUT one thing I really don't like is when somebody will post nonsense status updates.. like "no class", "Gonna take my lunch" .. (so what, I really don't care~!!) or whatever it is.. BUT, I'm not really so sure though if they feel the same way about my post.. BUT at least they should make it longer or what..

WELL, I seldom post some status updates though~!! BUT I'm much more doing the "TAG"ging thing.. ^___^

Well, haha! before, i used to do that that's why i have many likes on FB. But now that it has told that i can't add more friends because i've reached my limits, i need to unlike. Darn! :P It wasted my time. hahaha! But it's okay. I still love FB, i love my friends there. :) Even if it consume much of my time.

I agree it would be better if someone commented to a video or picture instead of just liking them. This can be also applied in our forums because there are only some members that can post a quality reply regarding in a certain topic/thread.

It might be surprising but when I'm a bit of a non-chat mood I just continue typing 'LOL' and 'XD'.
Though posting comments are what I prefer to write down my opinion instead of meaningless 'LOL's.

I think the like button is cool. Well I guess that does depend. If I post a video or a comment and I am purposely wanting to know who likes my post ... or if I really want to let someone know I like what they post... then yeah its cool. If its just something to click that doesn't really mean that much to either the poster or the liker(is that even a word?) then na I would say its useless.

the only reason I kept using Facebook is because all my friends stopped using instant messengers like yahoo, msn, Aim etc etc. Funny thing is.... none of us really talk on Facebook all that much. Its usually just post a status and reply. Someone will always post a witty comment and then poof no more interaction till the next status change.

I really only enjoy facebook for the numerous video posts I get from friends across seas. And album posts that are usually full of so many random and cool pictures. I also use facebook for keeping track of certain things like stores, books, video game companies, events and etc etc.

i used to love facebook a while back then playing some games chatting updating my status well it changed now facebook now adays is just plain boring to be honest i stopped using it weeks ago ok im done talkin :D
