major anime turnoffs...

I'm really meticulous when it comes to animes, and i hardly have any favorites. no matter how long ive been watching an anime, if i see a major turn off event, then i usually just stop without hesitation.

My list of major turn-offs would be:
1. out of this world fillers. i stopped watching bleach because of their sucky fillers.
2. poor characterization and character development
3. incorporation of scientific facts that are absolutely unreal
4. ecchi
5. bad animation

I just got one turnoff when watching anime and thats Yaoi characters...

When I see that I turn my eyes away and find a new anime to watch..

Well besides lods of fillers, i dont really like animes without any kind of story, just series of events without any sense, those annoy me most but i dont stop watch em, i just go through it to see how much they can keep it up, watching em in fast forward ofc :P

well, I hate long fillers, especially when I am watching a series that I have been reading the manga at the same time as well. also dont like bad artwork, poor animation, poor story, too much eechi. I also dislike the more random comedy series, probably becuase I tend to watch anime for a good story.

going through my points of disliking bad artwork/animation/no story-random comedy, I see WHY I dislike 99.9% of the newer american cartoons so damn much.

i really hate it if fillers came into the show, it really messes up the story. i hate anime with no story/plot with bad animations.

In order from worst to not as bad as worse
1) Yaoi
2) Pointy faces, idk why but I just cant watch anime where every person has a pointed face. They aren't like that much now.
3) Endings that are not as good as the Manga ending in any way, shape, or form.
4) The people who barge in on a long awaited romantic scene. DAMN THEM
5) Yuri that isn't Yuri, Yeah we all know that one show that claims to be Yuri (ex. Venus Versus Virus) but is hardly Yuri.

I suppose the largest turn-off in an anime would be fillers. Fillers are a waste of time and everyone knows that.

FILLERS & BAD ANIMATION MAINLY. Oh my God, I don't remember what episode it was, but there was this one Naruto episode where Naruto's head was way smaller than his body and I seriously just stopped watching it. Such a turn off.

I wanna watch Bleach because people keep talking about it, saying there's a good story beside all the fillers... but... there're fillers... therefore, I can't stand it...

I agree. Melancholy of haruhi suzumiya has repeating events too. Endless eight equals six repeating episode. I do not want fillers too.

One Word: Ecchi. ... Okay I was kidding about the one word. hmm. No I wasn't. If I learn that an anime has too many ecchi in it, I immediately stop watching that anime, or I do not dare to watch that anime, and just move on to another series. Also so many episodes and looong time for a series makes me back out, I get lazy when I know that I have to many episodes to watch. Oh also, Yuri and H.. Turns me off.

3. Yuri/ Yaoi (though ok I did watch one yaoi movie once in my life but really it was uhh...:S)
