I usually but a poster or an manga book because it is cheaper to get it at a con and sometimes they usually have good deals. like 2 for 1 if u bu a certain series and such. Then I focus on the little trinkets of interest like items from notable animes and video games and such. Then from there it gets really hard focusing on what to buy. SOOO MANY stuff. btw i usually go to the Comic-Con

I honestly haven't had the pleasure of going to an anime convention yet. I really want to but it's kind of difficult since practically NONE come to my city that I know of. If I did have the chance, I'd purchase a giant plushie, a cute keychain with a beloved anime character, some mangas (if they have mangas of animes I liked, it'd be nice to read them etc) and probably some dvd box sets if they can be used in North American dvd formats.
