My family never approved of Anime Because they saw some things related to anime that wasn't really anime at all. Pre-biased, they didn't allow us to watch anything like it. But going to a friends house, I escaped that and saw it without knowing what it was. My first anime there was Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure. Maybe that's why I'm hooked on Romantic Comedy/Harem.

Pokémon, I think. It was on TV when I was five or four years old. Dubbed in SWEDISH. But the first anime I took seriously was One Piece but I only saw 19 episodes. And I think I saw Naruto on TV when I was six years old.

I think my first real anime was Fullmetal Alchemist. It was probably the worst first encounter with anime anybody could have... i was switching channels on tv and stopped on adult swim when the seventh episode of FMA was showing... at the very end of the episode...you know the one with the chimera? i cried my eyes out, and i couldn't tell anyone why.
