PROLOGUE :

Spring break just ended, the streets are now filled with students who are going to their respective schools. Some are enjoying the cherry blossoms which are in full bloom as they walk, some are enjoying their friend's company while walking, and some are just walking alone with a face that shows 'I'm not interested' and 'I want to go home'.

A sigh escaped from Tsuki Akira's lips as she surveyed her surroundings while walking hoping that certain peoples are not following her. "Good thing they listened to me this time..." She said to no one in particular in a low voice recalling what happened earlier.

"Look I said I'm fine on my own, so I don't need a ride to school." Akira said for the third time.
"But, Akira-sama, Ichiro-sama said that you should be given a ride instead of walking." A middle-aged man spoke, hoping that the girl whose he talking to understands him before things gets worst.
"A no is a "no" and besides I don't want to risk my secret to be found out by everyone." The girl added while walking towards the main gate. "Don't worry I'll tell my dad that I was the one who turned down your offer, so you guys won't be in trouble. By the way, don't follow me."

'For goodness sake... What's the point of changing our last name when dad is still ordering them to protect me and sending me to an all Girl's School.' She thought while letting out another sigh. Tsuki Akira is her real name but due to them becoming rich when she was still in elementary school and her father's desire to protect his children, they changed their public last name to 'Mizuki' while their company is still named 'Tsuki', a financial company. 'It's not like I look like one of those well-refined rich girls. I'm the complete opposite of those girls.' Truth to be told, she doesn't look like a well-refined rich girl, first off she has a messy-looking short dark-blue hair which made her look like a boy, unbuttoned blazer, blue eyes which are always looking bored, and the last her way of speaking. Well, some might say she's an example of someone who's "cool" judging from the fact that some of her schoolmates look up to her.

"Hey!" A hand tapped her shoulder, knowing self defense she quickly twisted the arm.

"Ouch!" The boy yelled in pain.

"Shirou?!" Akira exclaimed, knowing who's the person who tapped her shoulder.

"Good morning Akira." Another voice greeted.

"Keiichi?"

These two boys are Akira's childhood friends and they know who she really is since both Shirou's and Keiichi's fathers work at the Tsuki Company but they attend a coed school which made Akira slightly curse her father for putting her in an all girls school.

"Y-yes! I-it's u-us! P-p-please l-l-let go!"

With that Akira let go of the boy's arm and look at them. "Idiot, don't surprise me like that. You should have called out to me."

"Eh? But we were shouting your name for the past 2 minutes and yet you were not answering." Takahashi Shirou said as he check his arm if his bones are not broken.

Akira looked at the smaller boy, Shibuya Keiichi. "As Shirou said, we were calling out to you." He repeated. "Getting irritated that you're not answering he decided to tap you on the shoulder."

"You were?" The girl asked confused, knowing she isn't the type of person who spaces out a lot. "I guess I was spacing out a little..."

"Like hell a little! You were completely spaced out!" Shirou said as-a-matter-of-factly.

"Don't worry about it Akira everybody sometimes spaces out during spring..."

"I guess so too..."

"Oh yeah, seen Mizuhara these past few days?" Asked Shirou, competely changing the subject.

Keiichi looked at Shirou with a 'don't drop honorifics, idiot!' face. Hearing the name Mizuhara, Akira turned around and started walking towards her school. "No and it's none of my business..."

"Hey wa-." Keiichi was about to call out to his childhood friend but was stopped by a voice. "Shirou-kun! Keiichi-kun!" Hearing their names the two boys looked at the girl.

"Good morning, Mizuhara-san." Greeted Keiichi with a smile.

"Yo! Mizuhara." Greeted Shirou.

The girl who's wearing the same uniform as Akira stopped running and took a bow. "Good morning."

"Good timing Mizuhara-san. Akira's right-." Keiichi stopped talking when he noticed that the person named Tsuki Akira is nowhere in sight already.

"Akira-chan is?"

'She disappeared?' The smaller boy thought. "She must've gone ahead of us..."

"Enough of this chit-chat, if we don't hurry we're going to be late." Shirou turned around and started walking.

"Wait up!" Keiichi called out then looked at the girl called Mizuhara. "We'll go on ahead Mizuhara-san." With a bow Keiichi followed Shirou leaving the girl alone. The girl started walking not knowing that Akira is looking at her while hiding, as soon as the girl was nowhere in sight the said girl started heading to school, her mood in a bad condition. 'Damn it!' She cursed in her thoughts.

CHAPTER 1 : First Day

'Don't tell me... She is in the same class as me again...' Akira thought as she looked inside the clasroom which is full of students but in her eyes she's only seeing one person and that person is Mizuhara Yuki.

"Hey Akira don't just stand there! Come in!" Invited a voice.

Knowing the owner of the voice since no one calls her Akira in her school other than her club mates. "Ah right..." She snapped out from her thoughts and went inside the classroom.

Hearing the name 'Akira', Mizuhara Yuki stopped talking to her classmates and looked at the girl who is stepping inside the classroom. "Akira-chan..." She called out in a low voice not wanting the owner of the name to hear that.

"Hey, aren't you going to greet Yuki-chan a good morning?" Asked the girl as she took a seat on the chair in front of Akira, the girl's name is Taniguchi Makoto, age 17, brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes.

"Akira-chan, good morning." Mizuhara Yuki greeted while smiling.

Makoto looked at Yuki. "Good morning, Yuki-chan." She greeted, adverting her gaze to Akira who is looking down at her desk not even moving from the position she is in.

"Hey ouji speak up!" Makoto called out to the short haired girl but instead of looking at the girl standing beside her, Akira stood up and walked out of the classroom. "For goodness sake..." Makoto whispered while sighing.

At the rooftop, Tsuki Akira lied down on the floor and looked at the sky. 'I'm so unlucky this year, being in the same class as her again, for 3 years straight huh...' She thought, wanting to make up for the lack of sleep last night she slowly closed her eyes.

"Excuse me..."

Akira's eyes opened when she heard a voice, she quickly sat up and looked at the girl who spoke. "Ah, yes?" She asked. 'A first year?' She looked at the girl, the girl has pinkish hair with bluish eyes and probably smaller than her.

"Thank goodness, I thought you collapsed or something." The girl let out a sigh of relief as she said those words.

"Sorry if I scared you."

The girl shook her head and smiled. "No, it's okay."

"Let me guess you're a 1st year aren't you?"

"Ah, yes. I'm Izumi Sachiko from year 1 class 2."

"I'm Mizuki Akira, from year 2 class 3."

"Ah! You're a senpai? I'm sorry I was being rude." The girl named Sachiko quickly apologized as she bowed her head.

"Don't worry about it." Akira assured the kohai with one of those not real smiles.

'She looks kinda cool...' Thought the younger girl as she looked at the senpai in front of her. "So, what is senpai doing here? Aren't classes going to start soon?"

"I thought I just stay in a quiet place for a while since the classrooms are kind of noisy, don't you think?" 'A complete lie' Akira thought as she looked at the sky then to Izumi Sachiko. "That reminds me, what are you doing here? Aren't first years supposed to be in the auditorium for the welcoming ceremony?"

A blush crept on Sachiko's cheeks. "I kind of got lost..." She answered in a low voice not meeting with the senpai's eyes.

"Got lost? The auditorium is not upstairs, you know."

"Ah, I know. I just want to check what the rooftop looks like..."

Akira let out a small laugh. "Let's go, I'll take you to the auditorium." She offered as she stood up.

"O-okay..."

Akira walked towards the door followed by Sachiko.

Akira and Sachiko walked through the halls in a quiet manner, not even a single word has been spoken. The kohai noticed this and decided to talk to the senpai beside her. "Ano... senpai..."

"Yes?" Akira asked her voice not as cold as she always talks. Well, she's not in the mood to talk cold to the girl beside her in the first place and truth to be told she's also not in the mood to accompany this kohai to the auditorium, she's just using this as an excuse to avoid going back to the classroom before classes starts.

"Could senpai perhaps show me around the school some other time?" Sachiko asked her head lowered.

"Sure, but didn't the teachers already showed all the new comers around the school?"

"Ah, I was not able to go at that time because I was sick."

"Is that so..." Akira's voice was getting colder by the second, she want to scare this kohai for her to leave her side for all eternity but she's also not in the mood for that.

"It's ok if senpai doesn't want to." Sachiko did not look at the girl beside her, from the sound of Akira's voice she knew that it's a nuisance for her to be asked that.

"Gladly." Akira answered outright; this made Sachiko smile and look at the taller girl. She stopped walking and quickly bowed. "Thank you very much, Mizuki-senpai."

"You don't need to be so formal, Izumi-san."

Sachiko stood straight and looked at Akira who was smiling little did she know that the person in front of her is seriously not in the mood. 'Senpai is so kind.' She thought.

"Well then, let's hurry up the auditorium is not far from here." Her senpai started walking and she followed suit while walking the two continued their conversation.

"Senpai, are you in a club?"

"Yes, from the Kyudo club."

"You like Archery?"

"I guess you can say it that way, to tell you the truth I was more of a Kendo fan in the past but after I saw Himemiya Chikane-senpai's performance in a Kyudo match I decided to join the Kyudo club." Akira explained, realizing that this is the second time she talked casually to someone; sighing inwardly she waited for Sachiko's words.

"Himemiya Chikane?"

"She is Japan's top Kyudoka and she became a representative for Japan many times already."

"Amazing."

"Anyway, thought of a good club to join?" The short haired girl asked completely changing the subject.

"Nothing in particular..."

"I see..."

"We'll check out clubs later, after that I might know where to join."

"Choose wisely. Choose the club which better suits you. Ah, we're here." Akira stopped walking and looked at Sachiko.

The shorter girl bowed. "Thank you very much, Mizuki-senpai."

"Don't mention it. Now, go in since the ceremony is about to start."

With that Sachiko gave her senpai one last bow and went inside the auditorium. Akira decided to go back to the classroom and began walking. "For how long are you going to stalk me like that?" She asked as she passed by an intersection.

Makoto who was grinning as Akira passed by, followed her friend back to the classroom. "I guess I can't fool the ouji of the Kyudo club..."

"You're still calling me that?"

"Everyone knows you by that name, ouji!" Makoto exlaimed while grinning this made the short-haired girl sigh. "Also Akane-senpai said that you're going to be the next president of the Kyudo club."

"Stop it Makoto, besides I'm not the right person for that position."

"What are you saying ouji? Do you even know why you're called the prince of the Kyudo club?"

"Because I look like a prince." Akira answered outright.

"Eck." Makoto tried to smile since she was half at fault that her friend was recognized as the prince of the club; true Akira really looks like a prince, a very messy- looking one. "That aside... Akane-senpai also acknowledges you as the prince because of your skills."

"Skills?"

"I'm not telling. Go ask Akane-senpai yourself..."

"Is that so..."

The rest of the walk was quiet with Makoto humming some random tune and Akira in a very deep thought. When they arrived back to the classroom, they quickly went to their respective seats, ignoring Yuki's gaze at her, Akira looked at the door hoping that the teacher would arrive sooner or later, after a few seconds the school bell rang and the teacher went inside the classroom. She thanked the gods that Yuki's gaze went somewhere else after the bell rang.

Classes started and during that time, the short haired girl only paid attention to the introductions after that her mind went elsewhere with Yuki giving her nerve-wracking glances. The whole morning was nothing but boring introductions, discussion of the rules, and the annoying glances which Yuki did every now and then, is what she thought. The school bell rang, signaling lunch break. "That is all for today, see you all tomorrow." With that the teacher quickly left the classroom.

"Are Mizuki Akira-san and Taniguchi Makoto-san here?" A voice asked. Hearing her name, Akira looked up from her desk, her gaze at the door.

"A-Akane-sama?" Gokigenyou!" A girl exclaimed her voice stammering.

"Gokigenyou."

"Ah, you're looking for Mizuki-san and Taniguchi-san right? Please wait a moment." The girl looked back to the classroom. "Are Mizuki-san and Taniguchi-san here? Akane-sama is looking for both of you."

The short dark blue haired girl stood up and approached the door followed by her friend. Akira looked at her classmate giving her a nod and a "thank you". The girl shook her head and said, "No it's okay, see you Mizuki-san." With that the girl took a bow to the girl named Akane and went her way, leaving the three girls alone. "Akane-senpai?" Akira and Makoto called out, the girl standing before them has long light blue hair with blue eyes, a kind smile, and a figure of a lady in other words the girl standing before them is a bishoujo named Tachibana Akane, the club president of the Kyudo club.

"What are you doing here?" Akira asked.

"Gokigenyou Akane-senpai." Makoto greeted.

"At least greet me first, Akira-chan." Akane said with a smile while looking at the dark blue haired girl.

"Ah sorry I forgot, anyway what are you doing here?"

"Actually I came here to tell you two that you are both needed right now in the club room. I called over the other members and they're on their way there now. Since you two are the last ones to be called I'll go with you."

"Ah I see..."

"Oh yeah, both of you bring your lunch box too since we're going to eat there."

Akira nodded and approached her bag to get her lunch box and went back to where her friend and her senpai were standing. "Let's go." With that they began walking towards the club room. While walking Akira noticed that the students were looking at them. She can also hear words like. "Isn't that Tachibana-sama the club president of the Kyudo club, Taniguchi-san, and Mizuki-san the 'prince' of the club?"

"The 'prince' of the club, eh?" Akira thought while sighing inwardly. After a while they arrived at the club room, the club members bowed and greeted their president. Akira went to the members group being greeted by a voice. "Gokigenyou Akira-chan."

"Hi Eri-san." The short haired girl greeted back.

The girl before her has Peach wavy hair and pink eyes; she's Saotome Eri also known as...

"Hey there hime!" Makoto exclaimed making Eri slightly jump because her voice is too loud.

"Hi-hime?" The girl asked confused, slightly blushing.

"Hey Makoto, stop calling us weird names, will you? Akira said seeing the girl before her blush.

"Yes your Highness!" The shoulder length haired girl bowed to Akira. This made the short haired girl sighed and look away from Makoto. "I give up..." She whispered and looked at the girl who was called 'hime'. "I apologize in her stead, I'm sorry about that Eri-san."

Eri lowered her head. "No it's okay Akira-chan."

Akane looked at the 3 girls who were making noise; she clapped her hands once to get all their attention. "I called you here because we need to prepare for the recruitment later, first years are you going to check out clubs and we need new members so that the club won't die next two years." She explained as she looked at the members: 4 third years, 5 second years, and 0 first years. "After eating lunch, we'll start the recruitment. Got it?"

"Hai!" Everyone answered.

The girls gathered in one place and ate their lunch. "Hey ouji!" Makoto called out but Akira didn't look at her. "Ouji!" She called out again.

"I have a name you know."

"Then Akira-ouji."

"Would you please just drop the 'ouji' thing?"

"Akira-chan..."

Hearing her name Akira looked over her shoulder before turning around to face her senpai. "Yes Akane-senpai?"

"Can I talk to you for a second?"

"Um sure."

With that Akane led her kohai to a quiet place where no one can hear what they're going to talk about. This made the dark blue haired girl confused, wondering what kind of conversation will take place between them. "What are you going to tell me?" She asked.

"Ne Akira-chan..." Her senpai began talking...

A/N : What could Akane wants to tell Akira? I'll just leave it at that
Kyudo = Japanese Archery
Kyudoka = One who does Kyudo
Gokigenyou = Good day to you (usually used by students of an all girl's school)
Disclaimer : I do not own "Himemiya Chikane", she's from Kannazuki no Miko btw. XD
